SCOTT Goggles or goggle lenses that are damaged or worn out must be replaced for safety reasons.
SCOTT shall not be liable for damages relating to the use of products which should have been replaced.
It is essential for the lens to be changed if it can no longer be guaranteed to work properly and provide good protection because of soiling, mechanical wear and tear or improper usage.
VI. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SIZING, FIT
For the SCOTT product to serve its purpose, it must cover the protected area correctly.
To obtain maximum comfort and protection, SCOTT goggles must be adjusted correctly.
The goggles should be placed on the user's face, and the strap around the head or the helmet. Adjust the strap by sliding the plastic sliders towards the face to tighten it, and towards the back of the head to loosen it.

Please note that ideally the lens should be changed at room temperature so that the frame is sufficiently pliable.
Should you need a new lens, please make a note of the model code, which is marked inside the frame (IV. Product Information) and order the relevant replacement lens from your specialist retailer.

2- When inserting the new lens, press the nose section together and insert the lens into the nose groove so that the mount engages.
3- Repeat the process on the lower (2) and on the upper edge (3) of the goggles.

Wear and tear, dirt or any kind of damage may compromise the effectiveness of the equipment. Contamination with foreign substances and improper care can seriously compromise the effectiveness of your equipment and reduce its performance.
A. CLEANING AND CARE
Depending on the model, the lenses have a hydrophilic coating, which prevents fogging-up. It is therefore important to proceed in accordance with the following directions:
1- In the event of slight soiling, the goggles can be cleaned sufficiently using the storage bag or a damp cloth.
2- In the event of heavy soiling, the goggles can be cleaned under running water and with a little soap. Please make sure that the wet lens is not wiped but that the water is merely shaken off and dabbed with a soft, clean cloth. Wiping can destroy the anti-fog coating. This can also occur if paper towels are used.
3- Particular care should be taken with mirrored lenses. Please ensure that there are no dust particles on the lens or the cleaning cloth when cleaning.
4- We strongly advise against the use of solvents.
5- Do not wash SCOTT goggles in the washing machine.
B. TRANSPORTATION & STORAGE
Whenever possible please store and transport your SCOTT goggles in the bag or box designed for this purpose. Only by doing so can you be certain that your goggle lens will remain undamaged for as long as possible. Please also note that the goggles should not be stored in places where they may be subjected to high levels of radiated heat. Storage in temperatures above 50°C is not recommended!
C. CHECKING OF WEAR AND TEAR
Inspect the goggles before the beginning of a season or after a fall to ensure the goggles are still intact. The lens must not be split, the strap must be securely fastened to the frame and the frame should not have any cracks. In the event that any such damage is found, the defective part must be replaced. Only original SCOTT spare parts may be used. Scratched or damaged lenses have to be replaced and must not be used again.
D. DISPOSAL
Dispose of the products in the domestic waste. Do not tamper or incinerate the product. This may lead to potential hazards.

VIII. WARNING
- No SCOTT equipment can offer full protection against injury. Any contamination, alteration to the product or misuse could dangerously reduce the performance of the equipment.

ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS
A screw driver or loose change will be needed to adjust the pivot points.
The fit system is a one time adjustment designed to increase seal and comfort against the face. Each of the 4 positions represents a different unique fit. This is achieved by rotating two pivot points located at the bottom side of the goggles. The factory setting for the FIT SYSTEM is position 1.
While there is not a recommended setting it is important to keep each pivot point in the same position on each side of the goggles. For example if you move a pivot point over to position 2 the second pivot should also move to position 2. Now find the position that best suits you, set it and get riding.
