All the barbecues are suitable for outdoor use only.
CAUTION: the safety precautions are part of the appliance. Read them carefully before using your new appliance for the first time. Keep them in a place where you can find and refer to them later on.
- Read these instructions carefully and keep them near at hand; the instructions are general for the different versions depending on the accessories delivered with your appliance.
- This appliance is designed for domestic household use only. In case of professional use, inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the guarantee will not apply.

It is not intended to be used in the following cases, which are not covered by the guarantee.

In kitchens reserved for staff use in shops, offices and other professional environments;
- On farms;
- By hotel or motel clients, or in other residential premises;

In bed and breakfast accommodation and other similar environments.

This appliance can be used in an outdoor environment, provided the electrical power is supplied through a socket outlet with an earth connection and a residual current device (RCD) having a residual operating current rating not exceeding 30mA.
- This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they are supervised or have been given instructions beforehand concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and person with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or

instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Children should not be allowed to play with the appliance.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years
- For your safety, this appliance meets applicable standards and regulations (Directives on Low Voltage, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Materials in contact with food articles, Environment, etc.).
- This appliance is designed to function on AC current only. Before using EN for the first time, check that your mains supply voltage matches that indicated on the appliance data plate.
- Any connection error will invalidate your guarantee.
- Given the diverse standards in effect, if the appliance is used in a country other than that in which it is purchased, have it checked by an Approved Service Centre.
- Remove all packaging materials, stickers and accessories from inside and outside of the appliance.
- Unwind the power cord fully before use.
- Do not use an extension lead. If you accept liability for doing so, only use an extension lead which is in good condition, has a plug with an earth connection and is suited to the power rating of the appliance.
- This appliance is not intended to function using an external time-switch or a separate remote control system.
- Never immerse the appliance or its power cord in water or any other liquid.
- Never leave the appliance unattended whilst connected to the power supply, even if for a few moments, especially where children are present.
- Do not let the power cord hang where children may reach it.
• Take all necessary precautions to prevent anyone tripping over an extension cord. -
Switch off and disconnect the appliance from the power supply when not in use.

Never disconnect the plug by pulling on the power cord.
- Do not use your appliance if it does not operate correctly, if it has been damaged or if the power cord or plug is damaged. To maintain safety, these parts must be replaced by an Approved Service Centre.
- Any intervention other than normal cleaning and maintenance by the customer must be performed by an Approved Service Centre.

Exposed surfaces may be hot when the appliance is in use.

Never touch the hot surfaces of the appliance.
- Never move the appliance as long as it is hot.
- WARNING:
Charcoal or similar combustible fuels must not be used with this appliance.
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely before you clean and store it.
- The power cord must never be close to or in contact with hot parts of the appliance, close to a source of heat or resting on sharp edges.
- Never place the appliance close to a wall or below a wall cupboard.
- Never place the appliance below or close to easily inflammable objects (e.g. curtains, etc.).
- If parts of the appliance should catch fire, never try to extinguish flames with water. Disconnect the appliance and smother the flames with a damp cloth.
- Any solids or liquids which come into contact with parts marked with the logo should not be consumed.
Do
- Before first use, wash the plate (depending on model), pour a little cooking oil onto the plate and wipe with a soft cloth or paper kitchen towel.
- To avoid damaging the plate or the grid: only use it on the support for which it was designed (e.g.: do not use it in an oven, on a gas or electric hob, etc.).
- Read the instructions carefully, common to different versions depending on the accessories supplied with your appliance, and keep them within reach.
- If an accident occurs, rinse the burn immediately with cold water and call a doctor if necessary.
- Position the power cord carefully, whether an extension is used or not, so that guests can move freely around the table without tripping over it.
- Check that the appliance is unplugged before cleaning.
- Cooking fumes may be dangerous for animals which have a particularly sensitive respiratory system, such as

birds. We advise bird owners to keep them away from the cooking area.
- Ensure that the plates or the grids are stable, well positioned and correctly clipped to the appliance. Only use the plates and grids provided with the appliance or bought from an Approved Service Centre.
Do not
- Never leave the appliance plugged in when not in use.
- To prevent the appliance from overheating, do not place it in a corner or against a wall.
- Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass table, tablecloth, varnished furniture, etc.) or on a soft surface such as a tea-towel.
- Do not place cooking utensils on the cooking surfaces of the appliance.
- Do not touch the metal parts of the appliance when it is heating or operating, as they are very hot.
- Never restart the appliance without having changed the water in the reflector.
- Never start cooking without preheating for 15 min.
- Do not use aluminium foil or other objects between the plate or the grill and the food being cooked.
- Do not use a metal scouring pad or scouring powder.
- Do not leave the appliance in direct sunlight or outside in winter.
- Do not place the hot plate (depending on model) under water or on a fragile surface.

- Thank you for buying this appliance, which is intended for domestic use only.

- On first use, there may be a slight odour and a little smoke during the first few minutes.
Using
Explanatory drawings are at the end of this leaflet.
- Place your appliance horizontally on a flat.stable heat resistant surface.
- Pour 1.5 litre maximum of water carefully into the reflector so that the appliance works.
- If the heating element is incorrectly positioned, the safety system will prevent the appliance from working.
• To avoid damaging your product, do not use flambé recipes in connection with it at any time.
• To preserve the non-stick properties of the coating, do not cook food in aluminium foil (depending on model).
• Always use a wooden or plastic spatula to avoid damaging the cooking plate. - Never cut food directly on the plates (depending on model).
After use
- Place the thermostat in the min. position or set the switch to position 0. Unplug from the mains socket and leave the appliance to cool down.
- The heating element is not to be deaned. If it is really dirty, wait until it has cooled down and wipe with a dry cloth.
- The grill, plate and water tank must be cleaned each time after use. They are dishwasher safe.
