IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following.

5. Do not use this apparatus near water.
6. Clean with a dry cloth only.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in
accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized
or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades, with one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. When the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on
or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

the apparatus for sufficient ventilation.
17. The ventilation should not be impeded by
covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains etc.
18. Attention should be drawn to the environmental
aspects of battery disposal.
19. The apparatus should only be used in moderate
climates. Backup Battery Function If the AC supply is interrupted, the internal clock will not be interrupted due to battery backup. The backup battery will not support the alarm settings or any other features of the unit. Other Features: Dimmer Control When in standby mode, press or buttons to change brightness (7 levels of brightness). When the display is turned off, the user can also press any button to turn display on. Snooze When alarm is sounding, press the SNOOZE button to go into snooze mode. The alarm symbol will flash and the alarm will re-sound after 9 minutes. Gradual Awake Alarm will sound at a low volume and gradually increase to a higher volume. Battery Handling and Usage:

Do not allow a child to use this product unless the battery compartment cover is securely attached to the battery compartment in accordance with all product usage instructions.
- Follow the battery manufacturer’s safety and usage instructions.
- Keep batteries away from children and pets.
- Do not mix a new and a used battery or mix batteries of different types or sizes.
- Insert the batteries according to the proper polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the battery compartment. Failure to properly align the battery polarity can cause personal injury and/or damage to the unit.10
- Remove spent or discharged batteries. Remove batteries if product will not be used for an extended period of time.
- Never throw batteries into a fire. Do not expose batteries to fire or other heat sources.
- Dispose or recycle spent/discharged batteries in compliance with all applicable laws. For detailed information, contact your local recycling authority.
