How to use the Shake Away blender?

Cut ingredients into pieces, place them in the glass with liquid without exceeding the MAX level. Screw the blade unit onto the glass by turning left. Plug in the appliance, place the glass on the motor and turn clockwise until it clicks. The appliance runs as long as you maintain pressure. To stop, turn the glass to the left.

What is the maximum continuous usage time?

Do not exceed 1 minute of continuous use. Let the appliance rest for at least 3 minutes before using it again.

Can I blend hot liquids?

No, never pour boiling liquids into the glass. Hot liquids can be suddenly ejected and cause burns.

How to clean the blades?

Unplug the appliance and disassemble the blade unit. Wash it with hot soapy water or in the dishwasher (gentle cycle). Be careful, the blades are very sharp.

Can I put the parts in the dishwasher?

Yes, the glasses, lids, and blade unit can go in the dishwasher on a gentle cycle. Dry all parts thoroughly before reassembling.

What to do if the appliance stops by itself?

This is due to thermal protection in case of overheating. Unplug the appliance and wait about 15 minutes for it to cool down before plugging it back in. If the problem persists, contact an approved technical service.

What recipes can I make with this blender?

The instruction manual suggests recipes like green smoothie (spinach, kiwi, water, strawberries) or banana milk (banana, water, cinnamon). You can also crush ice (4 small cubes at a time).

Are the blades removable?

Yes, the blade unit (C) can be screwed on and off the glass. To remove it, turn it to the left.

How to assemble the glass and blades?

• Clean all the parts of the product that will be in contact with food, as indicated in the cleaning section, before use.
• This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
• This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the food processor or blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.
• Blades are sharp and could cause harm, be careful and avoid direct contact with the blades' cutting edges.
• Pay special attention when handling the blades, during assembly and disassembly operations, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
• Always switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply if it is left unattended and before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use, assembling, disassembling and cleaning.

- Do not use the appliance if it is tipped up and do not turn it over.

- Check that the blades unit is closed properly before starting the appliance.

- Do not use the appliance for more than 1 minute at a time. In case of operate in cycles; allow the appliance a resting period of at least 3 minutes between each cycle. Under no circumstances should the appliance be operated for more time than necessary.

Instructions for use

Before use:

- Before using the product for the first time, clean the parts that will come into contact with food in the manner described in the cleaning section.

Use:

• Unroll the cable completely before plugging it in.
• Put the ingredients, after having first chopped them into small piece, into the cup with liquid (do not exceed the maximum marker).
• Screw the unit blades to the cup. Make sure that the unit blades are fixed properly to the cup (by turning it clockwise) before putting on the motor body. (Fig.1).
• Connect the appliance to the mains.
• Place the cup onto to the motor unit and turn clockwise until it is properly coupled in blocking position and hear the click. (Fig.2).
• The appliance will begin to process the mixture, keep the appliance in this position until achieving the desired result without exceeding the working time.

Once you have finished using the appliance:

• Stop the appliance, selecting position 0 on the selector control.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains.
• Turn the cup and unscrew it from the blades unit (C) anticlockwise.
• You can keep the mixture with any of two available lids, to transport it or to store it.
• Clean the unit blades.

Safety thermal protector:

• The appliance has a safety device, which protects the appliance from overheating.
• If the appliance turns itself off and does not switch itself on again, disconnect it from the mains supply, and wait for approximately 15 minutes before reconnecting. If the machine does not start again seek authorized technical assistance.

Cleaning

• Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
• Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
• Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
• Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water.
• During the cleaning process, take special care with the blades, as they are very sharp.
• It is advisable to clean the appliance regularly and remove any food remains.

• The following pieces may be washed in a dishwasher (using a soft cleaning program):

• Cup

- Then dry all parts before its assembly and storage.

Self-cleaning function:

• Put water and a small amount of washing up liquid in the jar.
• Place the cup in the motor unit (Fig. 2) to activate the appliance for 30 seconds and clean it.

- Take the appliance to an authorized technical support service if product is damaged or other problems arise. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance yourself as this may be dangerous.
