Frequently Asked Questions - DPV1711 CANON

How to adjust image quality on the DPV1711 monitor?
Access the OSD menu by pressing the MENU button. Navigate in Adjustment to adjust contrast, brightness, chrominance, sharpness, color temperature (gain and bias), and gamma. Use the selection wheel to confirm. A warm-up of at least 10 minutes is recommended before any adjustment.
How to perform calibration with an external probe?
Connect a Konica Minolta CA-310 or CA-210 screen analyzer to the USB port on the front. Go to Adjustment > Calibration, select a user mode (User 1-7), set the target values, then start calibration. Follow the on-screen instructions. Perform calibration in a dark room.
What video signals are supported by the DPV1711?
The monitor accepts SDI signals up to 12G (12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI) and HDMI. It supports 4K (3840x2160) and 2K (2048x1080) resolutions via Quad Link (Square Division), Dual Link, Single Link, and 2 Sample Interleave. Formats such as 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p, etc., are also supported.
How to connect multiple sources simultaneously?
The DPV1711 allows multi-screen display: use the SDI A-D inputs. In Multi View (Quad) mode, four signals can be displayed side by side. Configure the input type, format, and number of screens in Channel Settings. The CH1-CH3 buttons change the channel instantly.
How to use the zoom function?
In the OSD menu, go to Display Settings > Zoom. Select a preset (2x, 4x, 8x) and move the zoomed area with the wheel. You can also assign the zoom to the F keys for quick access.
How to export or import settings and LUTs?
Insert a USB key formatted as FAT16/FAT32. For settings: System Settings > Export/Import. For LUTs: Adjustment > Detail Settings > LUT Import. LUT files must be in .clut format. Up to 1000 files are recognized.
What functions can be assigned to the F and CH buttons?
The F1-F8 buttons can be configured in System Settings > Function/Channel Button. You can assign actions like toggling zoom, image mode, marker, etc. The CH1-CH3 buttons change the channel (input presets). Press and hold to display the list.
How to update the monitor's firmware?
Download the update file from the Canon website, extract it to a USB key (FAT16/FAT32). Insert the key, the monitor detects the file and offers the update. Follow the instructions. The power indicator blinks during the update.
How to clean the LCD screen correctly?
Disconnect the power. Use a soft cloth (like eyeglass cleaning cloth) dry for dust. For stains, moisten the cloth with diluted neutral detergent. Never use alcohol, benzene, thinner, or abrasive products. Do not press hard on the screen.
How to install the PP-17U protection panel?
Remove the four screws on the front bezel. Remove the protective film from the panel. Align the panel with the holes and screw in the screws using the supplied 1.5 mm hex key. Be careful not to touch the screen during installation.
