Frequently Asked Questions - BPUSC07 BLAUPUNKT

How to use the ultrasonic cleaner BPUSC07?
Open the lid and fill the tank with water up to the MAX mark. Place objects in the tank (they must be fully submerged). Close the lid, plug in the device, press ON/OFF, then set the timer (90, 180, 280, 380 or 480 seconds) with the TIMER button. Cleaning starts automatically. At the end, unplug and remove objects.
What objects can I clean with this device?
You can clean jewelry, glasses, mechanical parts, instruments, and utensils. Avoid delicate materials such as pearls, emeralds, ivory, coral, tortoiseshell, wood, leather, fabrics, contact lenses, polycarbonate lenses, ceramics, and non-waterproof watches.
Can I clean watches or phones?
Only waterproof watches. Mobile phones are not recommended as they may be damaged by water.
How to set the cleaning time?
Briefly press the TIMER button to cycle through options: 90, 180, 280, 380 or 480 seconds. The LED lights up and the process starts immediately.
Why does the device emit a sizzling sound?
The sizzling is normal: it comes from cavitation (implosion of microscopic bubbles) that cleans objects. This noise is part of the operation.
How to maintain the ultrasonic cleaner?
After each use, unplug the device, empty the cleaning solution, and wipe the tank with a soft cloth. Never use corrosive or abrasive cleaners. Let it cool for 20 minutes after 45 minutes of continuous use.
What to do if the tank overflows?
Never exceed the maximum level (MAX mark). If tank overflows, empty the excess before plugging in. Water must not come into contact with the base or electrical components.
Can I use a detergent other than dish soap?
You can use a few drops of a universal cleaner or common dish soap (without emollients). Avoid corrosive or abrasive products that could damage the tank.
What is the tank capacity?
The tank measures 150 x 125 x 45 mm, which corresponds to a capacity of approximately 0.8 liters. Fill to the MAX mark for optimal operation.
How to clean large objects?

5. Operation

5.1. Principle

Ultrasonic cleaning is based on the cavitation effect, caused by the vibration of high-frequency ultrasonic waves in the liquid.

As microscopic bubbles are formed, these implode and cause cavitation. This cavitation creates an intense scrubbing action on the surface of the item being cleaned. The bubbles are small enough to penetrate microscopic crevices, cleaning them thoroughly and consistently.

Ultrasonic cleaning is extremely effective in removing dirt and grime, which would normally require tedious manual cleaning. Use an ultrasonic cleaner to clean a wide variety of instruments and mechanical parts, returning them to almost brand-new condition without damage to delicate parts.

5.2. General Operation

BLAUPUNKT BPUSC07 - General Operation - 1

Open the lid and fill the tank with water. To avoid damage, make sure not to run the cleaner without water! Pour in some cleaning detergent if desired.

BLAUPUNKT BPUSC07 - General Operation - 2

BLAUPUNKT BPUSC07 - General Operation - 5

Briefly press the timer button and set the timer cycle (90-180-280-380-480 seconds). The cleaning process starts and the LED will light. Note that the cleaning process can produce some noise, which is completely normal. The display shows the current working time and the cleaner buzzes.

BLAUPUNKT BPUSC07 - General Operation - 6

To stop the cleaning process before the programmed time, briefly press the on-off button. After the cleaning process is finished, disconnect the cleaner from the mains, open the lid and remove the object. Pour the water out of the tank and clean the tank. Take extra care when you empty your ultrasonic cleaner tank.

5.3. Cleaning Methods

General Cleaning

Use clear water for general cleaning. The object should be completely immersed. However, the water should not exceed the maximum fill level.

Thorough Cleaning

In order to obtain better results, you may add a few drops of universal detergent. We recommend using commercial dishwashing detergent – preferably without any lipid-replenishing substances (balm).

Partial Cleaning

For partial cleaning of larger objects, use the cleaner with its lid open. Make sure not to touch the liquid during operation!

Ultra-Cleaning

When items require extensive cleaning, use the thorough cleaning procedure first, refresh the water and repeat until the items are cleaned to satisfaction.

6. Care and Maintenance

General

Before starting any cleaning or maintenance activities:

  1. Unplug the appliance's power cord from the outlet.
  2. Let the appliance cool down.

Cleaning

Do not turn on the ultrasonic cleaner without water in the tank. Running it for more than 15 seconds with an empty tank will damage the cleaner or severely reduce its life.

Do not run the ultrasonic cleaner continuously or for a long period of time. It is recommended to let it cool down for 20 minutes after every 45 minutes of continuous use.

Do not keep water in the cleaning tank after use. Empty the tank from the cleaning solution and wipe the tank dry.

Storage

Do not expose the ultrasonic cleaner to direct sunlight for a long period of time. Keep it in a dry, cool and ventilated place.
