How to use the Bartscher 130206 immersion blender?
Insert the stainless steel blender shaft into the motor housing until it locks. Place it into the container with food, set the speed from 1 to 5, then press button I (slow rotation) or II (fast rotation) to start.
Can I use the blender to chop meat?
Yes, with the special containers and curved blade. Place the meat cut into 1-2 cm pieces into the container (max 250 g for 500 ml, 500 g for 1250 ml), close the lid, attach the motor housing and press button II. Do not exceed 10 seconds of continuous operation.
How to clean the blender?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. The motor housing is cleaned with a damp cloth, never immerse it. All other parts (whisk, blender, containers, lids) can be washed in the dishwasher or with hot water and mild detergent. Caution: the curved blade is very sharp, wear protective gloves.

3. Transport, packaging and storage

3.1 Delivery check

Please check the delivery upon completeness and transport damage immediately after receipt. In case of visible damage do not accept or accept the delivery with reservation only.

Note the extent of damage on the carrier's bill of delivery. Trigger off the complaint. Hidden damages should be reclaimed immediately after notice, as claims for damages can only be asserted within the effective period for complaints.

3.2 Packaging

Please do not throw away the covering carton of your device as it might be useful for storage purposes, when moving or, in case of damages, when the device must be sent back to a repair center. The outer and inner packing material should be removed completely from the device before installation.

3.3 Storage

Keep the package closed until installation and under consideration of the outside indicated positioning- and storage markings.

Packages should be stored under consideration of the following:

  • Keep it dry and dust-free.
  • Do not expose it to aggressive media.
  • Do not expose it to direct sunlight.
  • Avoid mechanical shocks and vibration.
  • In case of longer storage (> 3 months) make sure you check the state of the packaging and the parts regularly. If required refresh or renew.

5. Installation and operation

5.1 Safety instructions

WARNING! Risk of electric shock!

The device must only be connected to a properly installed single socket with protective contact.

Never remove the power cable by pulling the cable itself; always grab the plug housing.

  • Never allow the power cable to come into contact with heat sources or sharp edges. The power cable should not hang over the side of the working surface. Ensure that no one can step on or trip over the cable.
  • The power cable must not be folded, bent or tangled, and must always remain fully unrolled.
  • Never place the device or other objects on the power cable.
  • Do not lay the cable over carpets or heat insulations. Do not cover the cable. Keep away the cable from operating range and do not dunk it into water.
  • Do not use the device in case it does not function properly, has been damaged or dropped.
  • Do not use any accessory or spare parts that have not been recommended by the manufacturer. These can be dangerous for the user or lead to damages of the device or personal injury, and further, the warranty expires.

  • Never use the device with wet or moist hands.

  • Never touch the devices' moving parts whilst its turned on.

5.2 Operation

Unit mounting and setup

  • Unpack the unit and remove all packing material.
  • The set includes a useful wall-mounted clamp, allowing for space saving and easr-of-access to the mixer. Fix the clamp to a convenient location and place the mixir in it.
  • If the wall-mounted clamp will not be used, lay the mixer on a flat surface as it is not stable in an upright position.
  • Clean the unit prior to first use (see 6.2 „Cleaning“).
    • Prepare foodstuffs for processing.
  • Connect the unit to an appropriate electrical outlet.

Using the stick mixer

The stick mixer is best for preparing dips, sauces, soups, mayonnaise, dishes for children, and mixing of milk-based dishes and cocktails.

  1. Fix the stainless steel mixer to the motor body by inserting it until it clicks into place.
  2. Insert the mixing arm into a container with the foodstuff intended for processing.
  3. Choose a speed from 1 - 5 using the speed regulator located at the top of the motor body. Select „I“ (low speed) or „II“ (high speed) to start the unit.
  4. The stick mixer may be used in a measuring cup or other container.

  1. After finishing, turn the unit off and remove the plug from its socket..
  2. Disconnect the mixing arm from the motor body.

Using the stick mixer as a dicer

The stick mixer can be used as a dicer for harder foodstuffs such as meat, cheese, onions, herbs, garlic, carrots, nuts, plums, etc.

Never dice very hard products, such as ice, nutmeg, coffee beans or grains.

  1. Carefully remove the plastic cover from the knife.

The falcate knife is very sharp! For this reason the unit should be held by the part made of synthetic material.

  1. Place the falcate knife in the desired special container. Press down until the knife locks into place. Place the special container on the anti-slick pad.
  2. Place the foodstuffs in the special container.
  3. Put the lid on the special container.
  4. Screw the motor body onto the special container lid until it locks into place.
  5. Press the „II” button to activate the dicer. While in use, hold the motor body with one hand and the special container with the other hand.
  6. After finishing, turn the unit off and remove the plug from its socket.
  7. Unscrew the motor body from the special container lid.
  8. Carefully remove the lid and falcate knife.
  9. Remove the foodstuff from the special container.

Use of unit with whisk

Use the whisk only for whisking of cream, eggs, cake mixes and prepared deserts.

  1. Insert the whisk into its socket and turn the casing of the motor body until it clicks into place.
  2. Insert the whisk to the appropriate container and select the desired speed (1 - 5). Turn the switch do „I“ or „II“ to activate the whisk.

Never operate the whisk for longer than two minutes.

  1. After finishing, turn the unit off and remove the plug from its socket.
  2. Turn the motor body. Remove the whisk from the casing.

6. Cleaning and maintenance

6.1 Safety advice

Before beginning with repair or cleaning works make sure the device has been disconnected from power supply and has cooled down.
o Do not use any acid agents and make sure no water ingresses the device.
To protect yourself from electric shock, never immerse the device, its cables and the plug in water or other liquids.

The device is not suited for direct washing via water jets. Therefore, you must not use any kind of pressure water jet for cleaning the device!

6.2 Cleaning

o Clean the unit regularly.
o Clean the motor body only with a moist cloth.

Never immerse the motor body in water or other liquids!

o Clean removable parts with a mild cleaning agent and warm water. Rinse with clean water. Leave out to dry.

The falcate knife is very sharp. Be careful when cleaning! Never touch the knife with bare hands! Always wear protective gloves when cleaning!

o All removable parts (excepting the motor body) may be washed in a dishwasher.
o Ensure that the dishwasher has an appropriate level of cleaning and descaling agents.
○ If the foodstuffs processed contain colorings, the part made of synthetic materials may be colored. These parts should be wiped down with vegetable oil prior to placing them in the dishwasher.

6.3 Safety instructions for maintenance

  • Inspect the power cable regularly for damage. Never use the device if the cable is damaged. If the power cable is damaged, have an authorised service center or qualified electrician replace it.
  • In case of damage or malfunction, please contact your stockist or our customer service centre.
    ○ Only a qualified technician and using original spare parts and accessories should carry out repairs and maintenance of the device. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself.

7. Waste disposal

At the end of its service life the discarded device has to be disposed in accordance with the national regulations. It is advisable to contact a company which is specialized in waste disposal, or just contact the local disposal service in your community.
