How do I adjust the thermostat of my BARTSCHER 200065 wine cellar if it is too cold?
Frequently Asked Questions - 29/04/2026
Response Notice-Facile

Your BARTSCHER 200065 wine cellar features a thermoelectric cooling system with precise temperature control. If it is cooling too much, you need to increase the thermostat setting to reach the ideal storage temperature for your wines.

Adjustment procedure:

  • Locate the temperature adjustment button or dial on the front or side control panel of the cellar.
  • Press the adjustment button and use the arrows (up/down) to gradually increase the temperature.
  • For wine cellars, the optimal temperature is between 10°C and 15°C. If your unit is cooling too much, gradually increase the setting until you reach this ideal range.
  • Wait 30 minutes after each adjustment to allow the unit to stabilize the internal temperature before making a new adjustment.
  • Do not increase the temperature beyond 20°C, which is the maximum recommended for a wine cellar, as this could compromise the preservation of your bottles.

Additional checks:

  • Ensure that the wine cellar is placed in a well-ventilated area and that the space around the unit allows for good air circulation (minimum 10 cm clearance). A lack of space can cause cooling malfunctions.
  • Check that the cellar door closes properly and that the seals are not damaged or dirty, as poor insulation can worsen excessive cooling.
  • Regularly clean the air filters and ventilation vents of the unit to maintain optimal efficiency of the thermoelectric system.
  • Avoid placing the wine cellar near a cold source (air conditioning, window) or heat source (radiator, direct sunlight), as this disrupts the thermostat.

If after these adjustments the temperature remains too cold or unstable, this may indicate a malfunction of the thermostat or compressor. In this case, contact BARTSCHER customer service for a check or professional repair.
