Before using the Multi Grill for the first time, wipe the grilling plates with a damp cloth to remove all dust and make sure it is completely dry before using.
To preheat: close the lid and plug the cord into a 220-240V AC outlet, the thermostat light will go on indicating that the elements are heating. Allow the Multi Grill to preheat for 5 minutes.
Slide the oil drip tray under the front of the unit.
Carefully place the items to be cooked on the bottom cooking plate.
Close the Lid and allow the food to cook for the desired time. The "Thermostat Light" will go on when the lid is closed to indicate that the ingredients are heating up to cook. Do not leave the appliance unattended during use!
After the desired amount of time, the food should be done. Disconnect the plug from the wall outlet. Make sure all food prepared on this Multi Grill is cooked thoroughly.
Open the lid with care.
Remove the food and be sure to always use either plastic or wooden utensils so as not to scratch the nonstick surface. Never use metal tongs, forks or knives as these can damage the coating on the cooking plates.
The top grill plate can be opened up completely flat to increase the cooking area. Lift the lid up until it will go no further (be very careful not to force the lid open) - then lift the lid upwards slightly, the lid is then able to go completely flat and can be used as an extra grilling area.
When cool down, the oil drip tray may be removed and emptied. Be sure the liquid is cooled before removing this tray.
MARBLE COATING. This Multi Grill has marble coating. The advantages of this kind of coating is:
- Firmer than Teflon / non-stick coating (up to 10x stronger!) (PTFE and PFOA free)10
- Healthy and grease-free baking. Butter is not necessary, a small layer may be nicer for the taste.
- Marble is very durable and environmentally friendly. An additional advantage over a normal non-stick coating is that with marble the discoloration that occurs over time cannot be seen. Marble is in fact dark-colored. The coating is perfectly smooth and does not stick.
SHORT CORDD CABLE: A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. lf a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally
