How to pair the headset with the base station?

The headset is pre-paired to the base station. If a new pairing is needed, go to the base station menu: Wireless → 2.4 GHz → Pair 2.4 GHz. Then, with the headset off, hold the power button for 6 seconds until the LED blinks rapidly.

How to change the headset battery?

Remove the right ear cup plate by lifting it from the bottom groove. Push the battery downward and outward to release it. Replace with a charged battery. You can recharge the spare battery in the base station slot.

How to use Bluetooth mode?

Press the Bluetooth button for 1 second to turn Bluetooth on/off. For pairing, hold it for 4 seconds. Once paired, use the button for play/pause, answer calls, skip tracks (2x), previous track (3x).

How to activate Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)?

Press the headset power button once to toggle ANC on/off. Press twice to activate transparency mode.

How to adjust ChatMix?

From the base station home screen, press the control wheel to toggle between Volume and ChatMix (requires SteelSeries GG software on PC). Rotate the wheel to adjust the audio balance between game and chat.

How to customize the equalizer?

Use the SteelSeries GG software on PC to customize the 10-band equalizer. You can also select presets from the base station menu.

What to do if the headset doesn't charge?

Ensure the battery is properly inserted into the base station slot. Make sure the base station is powered via USB-C cable. Try charging the headset directly via the mobile charging port (under the left ear cup plate) with a USB-C cable.

How to clean the headset?

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the ear cushions, headband, and ear cups. Avoid liquids. The leatherette ear cushions can be gently wiped.

Can the headset be used on multiple devices simultaneously?

Yes, the base station has two USB ports (USB 1 and USB 2) to connect two sources (e.g., PC and console). You can switch between sources via the OLED display. Bluetooth can be used independently of the 2.4 GHz wireless.

How to update the headset firmware?

Download and install SteelSeries GG on your PC. Launch the application and follow the firmware update instructions for the headset and base station.

CONNECTIONS

Plug one of the USB-C to USB-A Cables (14) into the USB 1 Jack (24), and connect the other end to your PC or console. Optionally connect the second USB-C to USB-A Cable (14) from the Base Station's USB 2 Jack (25) to a second PC or console. Change input sources via the OLED Screen (18) menu.

BASE STATION CHARGING

To charge the second Lithium-Ion Battery (17) place it in the Battery Charging Slot (21) of the base station.

CHANGING BATTERIES

To change the battery, first remove the right-side Removable Speaker Plate (7) by lifting from the groove on the bottom. Then remove the Swappable Battery (10) by pushing downward and out to release.

MOBILE CHARGING

The USB-C to USB-A Cable (14) can be used to charge the headset while on the go. Remove the left-side Removable Speaker Plate (7), and connect the cable from the Mobile Charging Jack (8) to a USB power source.

POWER

To power the headset on or off press and hold the Power Button (9) for 1 second.

PAIRING

The headset is already paired to the base station when it arrives. In the event you need to re-pair, open the base station menu, and navigate to the following:

Wireless → 2.4 G → 2.4 G Pairing

Next, while the headset is powered off, hold the power button for 6 seconds until you hear a beep and the light on the headset is flashing rapidly.

BLUETOOTH POWER

Bluetooth can be powered on or off independently of the 2.4 G wireless by pressing and holding the Bluetooth Button (11) for 1 second

PAIRING

With Bluetooth off, press and hold the Bluetooth Button (11) for 4 seconds.

CONTROL

HOME SCREEN

1 Press and release the Control Wheel (20) or the Headset's Volume/Control Wheel (5) to toggle between Volume and ChatMix (PC only, requires software install).

2 Rotate the Control Wheel (20) or the Headset's Volume/Control Wheel (5) to adjust the selected parameter.

3 Press and hold the Control Wheel (20) or the Headset's Volume/Control Wheel (5) to bring up the main menu.

MAIN MENU

STREAM

Mix your Main, Aux, and Mic audio together to send to a PC for streaming.

1 Connect a 3.5 mm cable (not included) from the Base Station's Line-Out Jack (22) to your stream PC's Soundcard input.
2 In the OLED Screen (18) Menu set the Line Out option to 'Stream'.
3 Adjust your custom mix via the Stream Mixer on the OLED Screen (18).

ANC

To toggle ANC on/off, single press the Headset's Power Button (9).

TRANSPARENCY

To enable transparency mode, double press the Headset's Power Button (9).

RETRACTABLE MICROPHONE

Out of the box, the Retractable ClearCast Microphone (1) is retracted. To use the microphone, slide it away from the headset until it reaches full extension.

POSITIONING

Position the Retractable ClearCast Microphone (1) close to the corner of your mouth with the front surface facing you.

Note: The microphone should not be used when retracted.

EARCUP ADJUSTMENT

Slide the Earcups up or down to change the overall height.

HEADBAND ADJUSTMENT

Change the position of the Elastic Headband (3) on one or both sides to achieve the desired tension and flex.

The Removable Speaker Plates (7) are attached with magnets. To remove for replacement, place your fingernail in the groove at the bottom of the plate and gently lift.
