How to replace the projector lamp?
The lamp is a consumable. Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord. Allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes. Open the lamp cover (usually located on the bottom of the projector), unlock and remove the old module, insert the new one, and close it. Refer to the manual for detailed steps. Use only InFocus approved lamps.
How to correct a distorted image (keystone)?
Press the KEYSTONE button on the remote control. Use the arrow keys to adjust H/V keystone correction, corner correction, or curved correction. You can also enable automatic keystone correction via the Settings menu > Auto settings.
What are the different image modes available?
Image modes are: Dynamic (bright room), Standard (natural), Cinema (rich gray), Greenboard (for green board), Colorboard (for colored backgrounds), and User image (custom). You can select them via the IMAGE button on the remote or the menu.
How to connect a computer to the projector?
Use a VGA cable (supplied) by plugging it into the COMPUTER IN port on the projector and the VGA output on the computer. For a digital connection, use an HDMI cable on one of the HDMI ports. You can also use a USB cable (USB-A to USB-B) for the USB Display function.
How to adjust the volume?
Use the VOLUME + and VOLUME - buttons on the remote control. To mute temporarily, press the MUTE button. You can also adjust the volume in the Settings menu > Sound.
Can the projector be used without the remote control?
Yes, the control panel on top of the projector has essential buttons: POWER, MENU, OK, arrow keys, and INPUT. However, some functions like digital zoom or keystone correction are more convenient with the remote control.
How to install a security lock?
The projector is equipped with a Kensington security slot (on the back). To deter theft, insert a compatible Kensington lock cable and secure it to a fixed object. No additional tools are needed.
What to do if the image does not display?
First check that the projector is on (green POWER indicator) and that the input source is correctly selected (press INPUT). Make sure the cables are properly connected. If the signal comes from a PC, activate the Auto PC adjustment function by pressing the AUTO button on the remote control.
How to use the Memory Viewer function?
Insert a USB flash drive or external hard drive into the USB-A port on the projector. Then select Memory Viewer as the input source via the INPUT button. You can then browse compatible image files (slideshow) and video files directly from the projector.
How to password protect the projector?
Go to the Extended menu > Security and enable Logo code PIN protect. Enter a 3-digit PIN code. Once activated, the projector will ask for this code each time it is turned on. Keep this code safe; if forgotten, contact InFocus support.
