What types of food can I keep warm with this food warmer?

This food warmer is designed to keep already cooked food warm. It does not cook food. Ideal for main dishes, sides, soups, etc. Avoid very dry foods without liquid, or use a low setting and stir regularly.

How do I set the temperature?

Turn the temperature dial from Min (off) to High (maximum). The temperature range is 60 °C to 85 °C (140 °F to 185 °F). For quick preheating, use the maximum setting, then reduce to the desired temperature. The operation indicator turns on and off to maintain the temperature.

Can I use the food warmer without the included dishes?

Yes, you can use the hot plate alone as a hot plate. Be sure to use heat-safe containers. The plate is not designed for large dishes or large amounts of liquid.

How do I clean the dishes and the plate?

Unplug and let cool. The dishes and lids are dishwasher safe (top rack, avoid SANI cycle). The dish support is hand wash only with warm soapy water. The hot plate should be wiped with a soft, damp cloth. Never use steel wool or abrasive cleaners.

What if the operation indicator does not turn off?

This is normal: the indicator may stay on for 20 to 30 minutes before turning off the first time, because the power is not high. After that, it will turn on and off to maintain the temperature.

Can I leave the appliance plugged in unattended?

It is recommended to supervise the appliance during use. Do not leave children unattended nearby. Always unplug after use and before cleaning.

How to avoid burns?

The exterior surfaces and handles become hot. Use oven mitts when handling the appliance. Allow to cool before moving or removing parts.

Can I use an extension cord?

How to Use

1. The heating element is equipped with a variable thermostat knob. Heat range is from 60^ C to 85^ C ( 140^ F to 185^ F) to keep foods at serving temperatures. For best results, use maximum heat setting to quickly reach your desired temperature; then adjust to desired temperature.
2. The working indicator will cycle on and off to maintain preset temperature. Due to low wattage necessary for warming trays, it can be 20–30 minutes before the light goes off.
3. You may use unit either fully assembled with chafing dishes or use warming tray base alone as a warming tray.
4. If using chafing dishes, place chafing dish holder on warming tray base before placing chafing dishes in place.
5. Food placed on warming tray base or in chafing dishes should be fully cooked and already hot. Buffet server is designed to keep food warm only. To retain heat and moisture, keep lids on chafing dishes when not serving.
6. Foods containing little or no liquid should be kept warm on low setting and stirred periodically.
7. If using unit as a warming tray without chafing dishes, be sure to use containers that are heat-proof.
   NOTE: The base is not designed to keep large, deep pots full of food or liquid warm.

Suggestions for Use

1. Warming tray base is ideal for placing shallow pans right out of the oven to keep foods warm and ready to serve.

2. Keep entrees warm while preparing other foods or for serving.

3. Make sure temperature knob is in the "Min" position before plugging power cord into power outlet. The power indicator and working indicator will come on once plugged in. The power indicator will stay lit until unit is unplugged.

temperature according to different kinds of food.

- The lowest temperature setting ("low"): 60^ (140°F). - The highest temperature setting ("high"): 85^ (185°F).

1. Set the temperature. Once the temperature has been set, the working indicators will come on to heat up and will go off once preset temperature has been reached. During operation, it will cycle on and off to maintain the preset temperature on the warming tray.

NOTE: If it is not necessary to keep the warming tray base warm, turn the temperature knob to the "Min" position. The working indicator will go off. The power indicator will not go off until you unplug the power cord.

Care and Cleaning

WARNING

Electrical Shock Hazard. Disconnect power before

cleaning. Do not immerse cord, plug, or base in any liquid.

1. Unplug and completely cool.
2. Remove chafing dishes, lids and chafing dish holder.
3. Chafing dishes and lids are dishwasher-safe in top rack of dishwasher.
4. Wash chafing dish holder in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
5. Wipe the warming tray surface with a soft, damp towel and dry.
6. Do not use steel wool, scouring pads, or abrasive cleansers on any part of this appliance. Never use sharp or pointed objects for cleaning.

NOTE: DO NOT use the "SANI" setting when washing in the dishwasher. "SANI" cycle temperatures could damage your appliance.

This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty or condition.

This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us and our returning a product or component under this warranty to you.
