- This device is intended to be used for dry and wet cleaning of different types of smooth surfaces (fl oors, stairs, wall tiles, windows etc.).
- It can be used both indoors and outdoors.
- This device is not suitable for mopping up: – highly fl ammable or combustible liquids, – glowing or burning ash.
- The device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
- The device should only be used as described in the operating instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
- The warranty does not cover faults caused by incorrect handling, damage or attempted repairs. The same applies to normal wear and tear. Safety Notices ■ This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and / or knowledge if they are supervised or have received instruction on how to use the device safely and understand the dangers resulting from this. ■ Children must not play with the device. ■ Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by children without supervision. ■ Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept away from the device and the mains cable! Do not charge any other devices with the mains adapter supplied. ■ Never immerse the device, mains cable or mains adapter in wa- ter or other liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet. ■ Do not take the device apart! Do not make any modifi cations to the device! If the device, the mains adapter or the battery are damaged, they must be replaced by the manufacturer, custom- er service department or a similarly qualifi ed person (e. g. spe- cialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards. DANGER – Risk of Electric Shock! ■ Use and store the device only in closed rooms. ■ Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not at- tempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power! ■ Never touch the device, mains cable or mains adapter with wet hands when these components are connected to the mains power. ■ If the device is used outdoors, make sure that it is not exposed to any rain or moisture. WARNING – Danger of Injury! ■ Danger of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. ■ Danger of strangulation! Make sure that the mains cable is always kept out of the reach of small children and animals. ■ Danger of burns from battery acid! – Batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Keep batteries and the device out of the reach of children and animals. If a battery is swallowed, immediate medical attention must be sought. – If the rechargeable battery or battery leaks, avoid physical contact with the battery acid. Wear protective gloves if necessary. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected areas with abundant clear water straight away and seek medical assistance immediately. ■ Danger of tripping! Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. ■ Do not use the device if it is damaged.EN 16 WARNING – Danger of Fire! ■ Do not use or charge the device in rooms containing easily ignitable substances or poisonous and explosive fumes. ■ Do not operate the device on hot surfaces or close to a naked fl ame. ■ Do not cover the device during operation or charging in order to prevent it from catch- ing fi re. NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property from Batteries ■ The rechargeable battery and the batteries must not be taken apart, thrown into a fi re, immersed in liquids or short-circuited. Batteries that are not rechargeable must also not be charged or reactivated by other means. ■ Remove the batteries from the handle when they are used up. This will prevent any damage if a battery leaks. ■ Use only the battery type specifi ed in the technical data. When replacing batteries, ensure the correct polarity (+ / –). ■ Always replace all batteries together. Do not use batteries of different types or brands, or batteries with different capacities. NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property ■ Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot surfaces. Do not wrap the mains cable around the device (danger of the cable breaking). ■ The device should only be used if it has been fully and correctly assembled! ■ Remove the mains adapter from the plug socket if a fault occurs during operation or if a thunderstorm is expected. ■ The device must be switched off when the mains adapter is pulled out or inserted into the plug socket. Always pull the mains adapter and never the mains cable to discon- nect the device from the mains power. ■ Do not use the device when it is still connected to the mains adapter or the power source. ■ The mop pads must have dried fully after cleaning before they can be put back onto the device. ■ Protect the device from: heat, naked fl ames, sub-zero temperatures, strong temper- ature fl uctuations, collisions. ■ Use only original spare parts from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid damage.17 EN Items Supplied

- Operating instructions Two batteries (1.5 V, AAA type) are also required. These are not supplied with the device. Check the items supplied for completeness and transport damage. If you fi nd any dam- age to the components, do not use them, but contact our customer service department. - Before using the device, remove all packaging materials and any labels that may be on the device and are used for protection during transportation or for advertising. Never remove the rating plate and any possible warnings!
- Charge up the battery (see the “Charging Up the Battery” chapter).
- Insert batteries into the handle (see the “Inserting / Changing Batteries in the Handle” chapter). Charging Up the Battery PLEASE NOTE! ■ Risk of short-circuits! Do not insert any conducting objects (e. g. screwdrivers or similar items) into the charging socket. ■ Only connect the mains adapter to a socket with safety contacts that is properly in- stalled and matches the technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. ■ Pull the mains adapter out of the plug socket if it is not going to be used for a lengthy period of time. ■ Only charge the battery when it is completely empty. ■ It is essential that you charge up the battery fully before you fi rst use the device in order to achieve the maximum charging capacity. The fi rst charge will last for 2 – 4 hours.
1. Ensure that the device is switched off (move the On / Off switch (5) to position O).
2. Connect the mains adapter to the charging socket (14).
3. Connect the mains adapter to a properly installed, easily accessible plug socket.
The charge control lamp (4) lights up red.
4. Allow the battery of the device to charge up for approx. 2 – 4 hours on the fi rst charge
and then for approx. 2 hours.
5. Disconnect the mains adapter from the mains power and then from the device.
Inserting / Changing Batteries in the Handle Two 1.5 V batteries of the AAA type must be inserted in the battery compartment (15) in the handle (1) so that it can communicate with the main unit (8) via infrared. To do this, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the screw on the battery compartment using a screwdriver.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover.
3. Remove the used batteries and insert two new batteries (1.5 V; AAA type). Pay attention
to the polarity (+ / –). Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in the handle and on the battery are clean, and clean them if necessary.19 EN
4. Place the battery compartment cover back and fi x it in place with the screw.
If the device cannot be switched on even though the battery is fully charged, the batteries in the handle may need to be replaced. Assembly
1. Plug the handle (1) onto the top of the extension tube (3). It must engage audibly.
2. Plug the stem with the handle into the stem mount (6) on the main unit (8). It must
engage audibly. To remove the stem or the handle, press the corresponding release buttons in each case and pull out the respective part. Attaching / Removing Mop Pads
1. Hold the main unit (8) upside down.
2. Attach one mop pad in each case to a cleaning foot (10) using the hook and loop
3. To remove the mop pads, pull them off the cleaning feet.
Filling the Water Reservoir PLEASE NOTE! ■ When the water reservoir is fi lled, the main unit must not be tilted, turned upside down or laid or placed on its side. Water could escape!
1. Open the water reservoir cap (11) on the main unit (8).
2. Fill the water reservoir with water using the measuring cup (max. 150 ml).
3. Close the water reservoir cap.
Fixing the Stem The stem can be fi xed at a predefi ned angle using the locking mechanism (7). This function is suitable for cleaning vertical surfaces such as wall tiles, windows, or such like.

3. To release the stem, slide the locking device (B) upwards
until it engages. The pin disappears in the stem mount.
- Switch the device off after each surface has been cleaned as this will consid- erably increase the operating time on each battery charge.
- To place down the device, tilt the stem forwards towards the main unit (8) until it engages. To release the stem, tilt the stem backwards. When you do this, fi x the main unit with your foot.
1. Tilt the stem with the handle (1) back a little in order to trigger the release mechanism
in the stem mount (6).
2. Move the On / Off switch (5) to the I position to activate the device. The device is in
stand-by mode and the operating lamp lights up green.
3. Press the start / stop button (2) on the handle to start the device. The two cleaning
feet (10) start to rotate. The device has two speed settings which are set using the start / stop button (see the “Device Overview” chapter).
4. Guide the device over the surface which is to be cleaned or polished.
5. If necessary, press the spray button (16) on the handle to make the fl oor damp with
the aid of the spray nozzle (9).
6. Press the start / stop button several times if necessary to stop the device. The clean-
ing feet come to a standstill.
7. Move the On / Off switch to the O position to switch off the device.
8. Clean the mop pads after use (see the “Cleaning and Storage” chapter).
Cleaning and Storage PLEASE NOTE! ■ Make sure that the device is switched off before cleaning it! ■ During cleaning make sure that no liquid gets into the main unit or the handle. ■ Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the housing. They may damage the surfaces. The mop pads may lose some of their colour over time. This is normal and does not have any adverse effect on function. However, if one of the mop pads is dam- aged or worn, it must be replaced (replacement set: Art. No. 08934).
- If there is still water in the water reservoir, empty it by opening the water reservoir cap (11) and emptying the water reservoir over a sink or similar outlet.
- Clean the device with a damp, soft cloth if necessary. Then dry it with a soft cloth.
- Pull the mop pads off the cleaning feet (10) and clean them. Follow the washing instructions! Please Note: Wash separately or with the same colours.
- Check the mains adapter and the mains cable regularly for any damage.

If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact our customer service department. Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself! Problem Possible cause Fix The battery is not charging up. The charge control lamp (4) does not light up when the device is connected to the mains power. The mains adapter is not inserted correctly in the plug socket. Correct the fi t of the mains adapter. The barrel connector is not plugged in the charging sock- et (14) of the device correctly. Correct the connection between the charging socket and barrel connector. The plug socket is defective. Try another plug socket. There is no mains voltage. Check the fuse of the mains connection. The device cannot be started. The battery of the device is too weak. Charge up the battery. The On / Off switch (5) is in position O. Move the On / Off switch to position I. The batteries in the handle (1) are too weak. Replace the batteries (see the “Inserting / Changing Bat- teries in the Handle” chapter).EN 22 Disposal Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner so that it can be recycled. The batteries and rechargeable battery should be removed prior to disposal of the device and disposed of separately from the device at a suitable collection point. The device is governed by the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Do not dispose of the device as normal domes- tic waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via an offi cially approved waste disposal company. Removing the Battery
1. Remove the screw on the battery compartment (12) using a screwdriver.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover.
3. Press the release button on the plug connection and undo the plug connection.
4. Remove the battery and dispose of it separately.
