Frequently Asked Questions - OM540ZWA Pelgrim

How to set the clock on the Pelgrim OM540ZWA oven?
After first power-up or after a power cut, 12:00 blinks. Turn the SELECTOR knob to set minutes, confirm with the button, then set hours and confirm. You can also change the clock via the general settings menu by holding down the extra bake button, then choosing CLoc.
How to use the microwave function without risking damage to the appliance?
Never use metal containers or the metal rack in microwave mode. Use glass, ceramic, or suitable plastic dishes. Never operate the microwave oven empty. For packaged foods, follow the instructions on the package. The maximum power is 1000 W, but you can reduce it depending on the food type.
What to do if the oven does not heat up or displays an error code?
First unplug the appliance for a few minutes then plug it back in. If the error code ErrX or ErXX persists, contact customer service. Also check that the main circuit breaker has not tripped. In case of sparks, make sure the bulb covers and guide spacers are properly fixed.
How to activate the child safety lock on the oven?
Press the Lumineuse (bulb symbol) button for 5 seconds until Loc appears on the display. To deactivate, repeat the same procedure. Child lock blocks changes to settings, but the oven continues to operate if a timer is already running.
How to clean the oven with the AquaClean program?
Remove coarse dirt. Place the deep baking tray on the 1st level with 1.5 dl of hot water. Press extra bake and select the AquaClean symbol (drop). The program lasts 8 minutes. Afterwards, wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild soap. The oven must be completely cool before starting the program.
What accessories are supplied with the Pelgrim OM540ZWA oven?
The appliance comes with a metal rack (with safety latch), a shallow baking tray and a deep all-purpose baking tray (perforated). These accessories are suitable for conventional and microwave cooking, except the rack which must not be used in microwave mode.
How to use the step cooking mode (STEP)?
In professional mode (probake), hold the extra bake button to access STEP. First set the cooking system, temperature and duration for STEP1, then confirm. Then hold extra bake again to go to STEP2 and set the parameters. Start with the Start/Stop button. The oven runs both steps consecutively.
Can I use aluminum dishes in the oven?
Aluminum dishes or those with gold/silver rims must not be used in microwave or combination mode, as they may cause sparks. In conventional mode (without microwave), you can use aluminum dishes, but avoid contact with the walls and do not cover the bottom of the oven with aluminum foil.
How to set a delayed start for cooking?
Place the food in the oven, set the system, temperature and duration. Then turn the SELECTOR knob to select the duration symbol (clock) and set the desired end time. Confirm and press Start. The oven goes into standby and turns on automatically to finish cooking at the programmed time. Note: fast preheat is not compatible with delayed start.
How to replace the oven bulb?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool. Remove the accessories. The bulb is a halogen G9, 230 V, 25 W. Unscrew the glass cover (with screw), replace the bulb, then screw the cover back firmly. The cover gasket must not be removed. Caution: do not touch the bulb with bare hands (use a cloth).
