INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE MODEL 38626
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Please read the following instructions and keep them on hand for later reference.
1. This appliance can be used by children aged from
8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
2. Children shall not play with the appliance.
3. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed
by children, unless they are older than 8 years and are supervised.
4. Keep the appliance and the power cord out of the
reach of children under 8 years.

5. CAUTION – Some parts of this product can become
very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
6. Connect the appliance only to an AC power supply
with the voltage indicated on the rating plate.
7. Do not operate this appliance with an external timer
or remote control system.
8. Never immerse the appliance or the lead cable in
water or other liquids.
9. The base should never come into contact with water or
other liquids. In case this ever happens, the appliance must be completely dry before operating it again.
10. Do not clean the appliance in a dish-washer.
11. Never touch the appliance or lead cable with wet

heat-resistant surface.
16. Make sure that the lead cable does not hang over the
edge of the worktop or table, since this can cause accidents, for example if small children pull on the cable.

operation. Therefore always use the handles of the cover.
26. Do not move the appliance as long as it is in operation,
to prevent scalding from splashing water.
27. Do not use the appliance with accessories of other
manufacturers or brands, to prevent damage.
28. Disconnect the appliance from the wall socket after
use and prior to cleaning. Never leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to the wall socket.
29. Let the appliance cool off before cleaning it.
30. Never open the casing of the appliance. There is
danger of electric shock.
31. Check the appliance, the wall socket and the lead
cable regularly for wear or damage. In case the lead cable or other parts appear damaged, please send the appliance or the base to our after sales service for inspection and repair. Unauthorised repairs can constitute serious risks for the user and void the warranty.
32. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced

The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties. CAUTION: The appliance becomes very hot during operation! Never open the housing of the appliance. This can result in electric shock.
1. Remove all packaging materials and any transport guards and stickers (not
the type plate or the serial number!). Keep the packaging material away from children. Choke hazard! Dispose of the packaging material according to the applicable statutory waste disposal regulations.
2. Inspect the appliance for damage. If there is visible damage, do not operate
the appliance; instead, contact our customer service department.

1. Fill the cup with cold water subject to the desired hardness and the number
of eggs: hard medium soft Please use the respective marks at the cup. Pour the water into the water tray. The marks apply to medium egg sizes. Depending on the size, number and freshness of the eggs, the results may slightly differ.
2. Pierce the blunt end of the eggs with an egg piercer. This is important to

3. Place the eggs on the egg holder. Place the egg holder with the eggs on the
water tray and close the lid.
4. Put the plug into the receptacle and switch on by pushing the ON/OFF
switch. The control light is turning on.
5. When eggs are ready, the buzzer sounds.
6. Sswitch off the appliance.
7. If the appliance is switched off, the control lamp turns out. Remove the lid.
Attention: Take care of escaping hot steam! Since the lid is very hot, use the handle to lift off the lid or use oven cloths and place it only on heat- resisting surfaces!
8. Remove the egg holder with the eggs from the water tray and hold them
under cold water. If the boiling process is not stopped immediately after the buzzer signal is heard, eggs will continue to boil and become harder. You may now serve the eggs.
9. After a short cool-down time of approx. 5 minutes you may use the egg boiler
10. Unplug the appliance after use.
Never immerse the appliance into water or other liquids. Unplug the appliance before cleaning it. Let the appliance cool down and pour away any excess water in the water tray.

and dry with a soft cloth. Use mild cleansers, but never apply such cleanser directly on the housing, but on the cloth.

By separate collection and disposal of waste products you help to protect natural resources and ensure, that the product is disposed in an adequate way to protect health and environment. We grant a 24 months guarantee, and in case of commercial use a 12 months guarantee, starting from the date of purchase for any damage demonstrably due to manufacturing defects and when the appliance has been used according to its intended use. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workman- ship through repair or replacement, at our option. Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. You can print out a return receipt on our website www.unold.de/ruecksendung. (only for entries from Germany and Austria). The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.
