Frequently Asked Questions - AquaFusion 87320 HAMILTON BEACH

How to install the water filter for the first time?
Remove the water reservoir, align the arrow on the filter with the one on the base, turn clockwise to lock. Fill with cold water to MAX, replace the reservoir, then rinse the filter by holding the filtered water button for 3 minutes. Repeat twice.
How to dispense flavored water?
Make sure the funnel and pod holder are in place. Open the lid, insert a flavored pod (do not remove the foil seal), close the lid until it clicks. Place a cup of at least 414 ml under the spout and press the Flavor + Filtered button to get 355 ml of flavored water.
What to do if the indicator flashes red three times?
This means the lid is not latched or the removable funnel is not properly installed. Check that the funnel is in place and the lid is closed with an audible click.
How to clean clogged needles?
Unplug the unit. Remove the needle holder by turning counterclockwise. Use a small unfolded paperclip to unclog the needle in the pod holder and the needle in the needle holder. Reinstall the needle holder by turning clockwise.
Why is my dispenser not dispensing water or is the flow weak?
First check that the water filter is in place and the needles are not clogged. If the problem persists, replace the water filter. Also ensure the reservoir has enough cold water.
How to reset the filter life indicator after replacing it?
After installing a new filter, press and hold the Flavor + Filtered and Filtered Water buttons simultaneously for at least 3 seconds. The indicator will flash and then turn off, indicating reset.
Can I use a cup smaller than 414 ml for flavored water?
No, use a cup of at least 414 ml (14 oz) to avoid overflow. The cycle dispenses 355 ml of water, so a smaller container will overflow.
The unit stops after a few minutes, is this normal?
Yes, the unit automatically shuts off after 3 minutes of continuous operation to protect the pump. Wait about 1 minute before restarting.
How to maintain the water reservoir?
Wash the reservoir and its lid with warm soapy water, rinse and dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners. The exterior of the unit can be wiped with a damp cloth.
What type of flavored pods to use?
Use only the flavored pods recommended by Hamilton Beach for the AquaFusion. Do not remove the aluminum foil seal before insertion. Pods are sold separately.
