What is the safety standard of the Maxi-Cosi Titan iSize car seat?

The Titan iSize is certified according to the European standard ECE R129/03 (i-Size), offering enhanced protection and simplified installation.

What age and height are required to use this seat?

It is suitable for children from 76 cm to 150 cm, i.e., approximately 15 months to 12 years. For children from 76 to 105 cm, use the 5-point harness; beyond that, use the vehicle belt in booster mode.

How to install the seat with ISOFIX?

Attach the ISOFIX connectors to the vehicle's anchor points until they click. For children from 76 to 105 cm, also attach the top tether strap to the upper anchor point. Consult the vehicle manual to locate the points.

Can I use the seat without the top tether?

No, for the 76-105 cm range, the top tether strap is mandatory. It prevents the seat from tipping forward in a crash. For older children (100-150 cm), you can use only the vehicle belt.

How to adjust the harness to the correct size?

Seat the child in the seat, fasten the harness and pull the adjustment strap (I) to tighten. Ensure that you cannot fit more than one finger (1 cm) between the harness and the child.

Can I wash the seat cover?

Yes, the cover is removable and machine washable at 30°C. Use a delicate cycle and air dry. The shoulder pads are not removable; clean them with a damp cloth.

Should the front passenger airbag be deactivated if the seat is in the front?

Yes, if you install the seat in the front, we recommend deactivating the passenger airbag and moving the vehicle seat back as far as possible. This prevents any risk of injury in case of deployment.

How do I know if my vehicle is compatible?

Check the compatibility list on the website www.maxi-cosi.com/car-fitting-list or verify the presence of ISOFIX points and a top tether anchor in your vehicle. The vehicle manual will indicate authorized seating positions.

What is the lifespan of the car seat?

The Titan iSize is designed for a lifespan of approximately 12 years under normal use. After an accident, even minor, the seat must be replaced. Regularly check for wear on parts.

Can I replace the cover with a non-official one?

No, use only an official Maxi-Cosi replacement cover. The cover is an integral part of the restraint system and ensures safety. A non-approved cover may compromise protection.

Category of your car seat: R129 i-Size from 76-105cm (max 18kg). i-Size booster from 100-135 cm. Vehicle specific booster from 135-150 cm.

The Maxi-Cosi Titan i-Size must be installed with ISOFIX and Top Tether when your child's height is from 76 cm to 105 cm. You can use vehicle belt only, or vehicle belt and ISOFIX to install the Maxi-Cosi Titan i-Size car seat when you child's height is 100-150cm (max. 36kg). Consult the vehicle manual to find the location of ISOFIX anchorages and more information about installing the car seat in the vehicle. This child restraint is classified for "Universal" use and is suitable for fixing into the seat position of the following cars:

SAFETY

The Maxi-Cosi Titan i-Size is intended for car use only.

• The car seat is developed for an intensive use of approximately 12 years.
• Do not use any load bearing contact points other than those described in the instructions and marked in the child restraint.

Maxi-Cosi Titan i-Size in the car

• Before buying this product make sure the car seat is compatible with the vehicle it is to be used in.
  • After purchasing, install the seat in your vehicle. If you encounter any installation problems, contact your distributor immediately (prior to use).
• It is recommended to adjust to full recline position before ISOFIX system installation. After correct

installation of the ISOFIX connector and top tether, adjust to the proper recline position for your child.

• Remove the car seat headrest if it stops you from adjusting the headrest of the car seat to the desired height.
• Make sure to replace the headrest of the back seat of your vehicle when you remove the car seat.

WARNING:

• Check that the child seat is properly installed. It is important for your child's safety that you fit the belt correctly. The vehicle belt must be fixed along the appropriated markings/positioning points on the seat. Please also read the label on the side of the car seat. Never fit the belt in any way other than as shown.
• When the car seat is installed on the front passenger seat, we recommend to switch off the front passenger airbag and place the passenger seat in the rearmost position.
• Use the car seat only on a front-facing seat that is fitted with an automatic or static 3-point belt that has been approved according to the ECE R16 standard or similar. Do NOT use a 2-point belt.
• When installing the car seat, spaces between the base of the car seat and the vehicle seat are possible depending on the position of the anchorage points within the vehicle.

ATTENTION:

• For usage in ISOFIX use the fitting clips for lower anchorage to the vehicle are not sufficient. It is essential to fix the "TOP TETHER" to the upper anchorage point recommended by the car manufacturer.
  • The ISOFIX anchors have been developed to obtain a safe and easy fixation of the child safety systems

inside the car. Not all cars are equipped with these anchors although they are standard on more recent models.

- If in any doubt about the correct installation or use of the system, the user is advised to contact the distributor or the manufacturer of the child restraining device system.

- When installing the car seat, it is necessary to remove the headrest.

Your child in the Maxi-Cosi Titan i-Size

- Make sure you can fit no more than one finger between the harnesses and your child (1cm). If there is more space than 1 cm, tighten the harness belt further.

- Make sure the headrest is adjusted to the proper height.

Care

Fabric:

- The cover and crotch pad can be removed for washing.

If the cover needs to be replaced at any time, only use official Maxi-Cosi cover because it constitutes an integral part of the restraint performance.

- For safety reasons, shoulder pads are not removable. Clean it by using a damp cloth.
