It is not suitable for use in clinics, medical practices, etc. The maximum carrying capacity of 150 kg must not be exceeded. Safety These scales can be used by children 8 years of age and above, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacities or lacking experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the scales and understand the dangers that may arise. Children must not play with the scales. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they are 8 years of age or older and are being supervised. Batteries can be life-threatening. Therefore, keep batteries out of reach of small children. If a battery has been swallowed or has entered the body in any other way, seek medical help immediately. Failure to do so within 2 hours may result in severe internal burns that could cause death. DANGER for children Keep children away from packaging material. Risk of choking if swallowed. Bathroom Scale BE 1806 | 1807 English Start-up Inserting/changing batteries To use the scales, you require 2 batteries of the type CR2032, 3V (included in scope of delivery). The battery compartment is located on the underside of the device.

1. Press the locking tab towards the middle of the scales and remove the battery

compartment cover, which is labelled with OPEN.

2. Push the batteries against the contact springs under the large, angular retaining

tabs. The batteries then snap into the opposite retaining collars, such that the batteries sit firmly in their retainers. Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/-). The plus pole (+) for both batteries must point upwards.

3. Put the battery compartment cover back in place. The locking tab must snap

securely into place. Notes on changing the battery: A change of batteries becomes necessary when “LO” appears on the display, or when nothing at all is displayed. Only use the type of battery that is specied in the “Technical Data”. Always change both batteries at the same time. Dispose of batteries in an environmentally appropriate way (see “Disposal”) Calibrate the scale, see “Setting the scale”. 1. Step once with a little force on the weighing surface (tap-on function).

In the illuminated display “0.0”, as well as the set measuring unit e.g. “kg”, is shown.

2. Position yourself on the scales. Remain standing still and do not hold on to

anything. The measured weight will be displayed shortly thereafter. A few seconds after you step off the weighing surface, the scales will switch off automatically. Weigh yourself with as little clothing on as possible. Try to weigh yourself always at the same time and under consistent conditions in order to obtain comparable values. Resetting the scales Reset the scales to factory settings if unusual or obviously incorrect values are shown on the display.
