We are pleased you decided in favor of this stainless steel immersion heater. To make sure you can enjoy using this appliance for a long time, please read through and carefully observe the following notes. Keep this instruction manual safely. Hand out all documents to third persons when passing on the appliance. Thank you very much.
Intended use
The appliance is designed for heating water. It is meant to be used in the household and similar areas, like for example:
- in kitchens for employees in shops, offices and other small commercial areas,
- in agricultural holdings,
- by guests in hotels, motels and further similar living environments.
Other uses or modifications of the appliance are not intended and may constitute considerable risks of accident. The appliance is not designed for commercial use. For damage arising from any improper use, the manufacturer does not assume liability.
Check the scope of supply for completeness as well as for perfect condition of the product and all accessory parts immediately after unpacking.
Only connect the appliance to an isolated ground receptacle installed according to regulations. The mains voltage must comply with the details on the rating label. Only connect to alternating current.

Non-observance of the safety advices and instructions may cause electric shock, fi re and/or bad injuries!

• CAUTION: Hazard of injury and burns!
Heater, container and water are getting hot during use and firstly stay hot after switch-off! Thus, act with caution.
- Only touch the handle. Never touch the heated water as long as the immersion heater is working.
General safety advices:
- This appliance must not be used by children. Always keep children away from the product and the power cord.
• Children must not play with this appliance.
- This appliance must not be operated by persons having handicaps of physical, sensorial or mental nature or not having the knowledge or experience without supervision or unless they have been instructed regarding a safe handling of the unit and have understood the risks which may occur.
- Never leave the appliance unattended during operation. Therefore; unplug the appliance when leaving the room (even for a short time), in case of malfunction, after each use, before you take the heater out of the water!
- Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children.
- Packing material like e. g. foil bags should be kept away from children.
- This appliance is not intended to be operated via an external timer or a separate remote-control system.
- Prior to each use, check the appliance and the accessory parts for perfect condition. It must not be operated if it has been dropped or shows visible damage. In these cases, disconnect the appliance from the power supply and have it checked by a specialist.
- When laying the power cord, make sure that no one can get entangled or stumble over it in order to avoid that the appliance is pulled down accidentally.
- Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces, sharp edges and mechanical forces. Check the power cord regularly for damage and deteriorations. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of an electric shock.
- To unplug the appliance, pull the plug and do not pull the power cord.
- This electrical appliance complies with the relevant safety standards. In case of signs of damage to the appliance or the power cord, unplug the appliance immediately.
- The cord cannot be replaced, thus in case of damage the appliance has to be disposed.
- Repairs may be affected by authorized specialist shops only. Improper repairs may result in considerable dangers for the user.
- Improper use and disregard of the instruction manual void all warranty claims.
Safety in use

IMPORTANT:
- In general put the appliance into the water before use!
- Pull the mains plug after each use. Then wait ca. 15 seconds before taking the unit out of the water.
- Do not put the hot appliance on fl ammable or sensitive surfaces.
Always let the appliance cool down before being put away!
Operating the appliance

IMPORTANT:
In general put the appliance into the water before use!
- Only use slim, temperature-resistant containers holding approximately the following volumes::
- 0,25 litres for travel immersion heater of model RT 350 (accessory glass at RTG 351: 0.2 l)
- 1,25 litres for immersion heater of model TS 1001 and TS 1502
- 5,00 litres for immersion heater of model TS 2003.
- Place the container on a heat resistant insulating pad (e.g. a ceramic tile) to avoid heat transfer to the worktop.
- Before using the appliance for the first time and as well after having decalcified it, we recommend to boil clear water with the immersion heater for first times and not to use this water. This is especially important for persons suffering from an allergy.
- The marks indicated on the immersion heater show the maximum and minimum water level. The water level must not exceed or fall below these marks as otherwise the appliance will be destroyed and there is no right to claim under warranty!
- The immersion coil heater is equipped with an overheating protection which, in order to protect the user, switches off forever in case of dry use.
- Should the immersion heater show a dark or bluish colour, there is no right to claim under guarantee! In this case the immersion heater was used without or with an insufficient quantity of water.

In general immersion heaters may only be used for heating water. They must not be used for heating oil or other liquids.

Cleaning and maintenance

ATTENTION: Hazard of injury and burns! Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance and let it cool down!
There is no need for a special cleaning and maintenance. If required, the appliance can be wiped with a moist cloth.
Descaling
Depending on the water hardness, lime scale might form around the heating coil. It must be removed from time to time by heating some water with vinegar or by using a customary descaling agent. This will save energy, grant full heating power and a long life-time as well. Thick lime scale might cause an overheating of the appliance. Damages caused by lime scale are not covered by the warranty. This is why a regular descaling is recommended.

Please observe the country-specific disposal regulations!
