• Read this manual carefully and follow the instructions below before you start using the solar lamp.

• This product is intended for outdoor use and is only designed for decorative purposes.

• This product is not a toy. Therefore do not let children play with the solar lamp.

• Do not place the solar lamp close to ammable materials.

• Do not look directly at the lamp as this may damage your eyesight.

• Do not place the lamp under water

• Never use the appliance if it is damaged and dispose of it properly according to national regulations.

Button Function ON Press the button one time to turn on the light. When you turn the light back on after turning it off, the light will have the same colour (or mode) as before turning off. OFF Press the button one time to turn off the light. Colour selection Press the desired colour button to select one of the 16 available light colours. FLASH Press this button to make the light ash slowly. STROBE Press this button to make the light ash rapidly. FADE Press this button to dim the light. SMOOTH Press this button to make the colours blend into each other. Brightness increase The brightness of the light is increased by 25%. Brightness reduction The brightness of the light is decremented by 25%.

COMMISSIONING AND OPERATION

Method of operation The solar panel absorbs solar power during the day and transforms it into electricity, which is then stored in the rechargeable battery. When darkness falls, the lamp lights automatically using the energy stored during the day. The period of operation of the lamp depends on its geographic placement, weather conditions and the light that is available at the respective time of the year. Choosing the ideal placement Select an outdoor placement with full, direct sunlight where the solar panel can receive at least 6 hours of sunlight per day. A shady placement affects the charging of the battery and reduces the operating time of the lamp after sundown. Do not place the lamp close to strong source of light such as street lighting as this may cause the lamp to turn off automatically.12

First use Turn the ON/OFF switch to position “ON” (for certain models - remove the paper strip from the battery). The light is controlled automatically by a light sensor. At sundown, the solar lamp turns on using the energy stored in the battery. When you press the switch or insert back the paper strip, the solar lamp turns off in order to save energy If the solar lamp does not light automatically at sundown, check the following:

1. Make sure that the power switch is set to position “ON”.

2. Check the battery to ensure that the battery terminals have a good

contact. Battery replacement

• Batteries shall be disposed of in a safe way. Only dispose of batteries in specic collection containers (contact your retailer for more information) in order to protect the environment.

• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.

• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

• The battery must be removed from the luminaire before it is scrapped.

• Only use batteries of the following type: 1 battery of type 18650 / 3.7 V /1200 mAh13
