How to charge the handset batteries?

Place the handset on the charger. For the first charge, leave it for approximately 7 hours. Use only the supplied mains adapter (Panasonic PQLV200CE).

How to register the handset to a base?

Go to the menu: HANDSET PROG > REGISTRATION > REGIST. HANDSET. Press the base key for 3 seconds until the beep. Select the base, then enter the PIN code (default 0000). Confirm.

How to change the handset language?

From the menu, select 'Handset Setup' > 'Display Options' > 'Language Select' and choose 'ENGLISH' (or one of the 19 available). If an error occurs, reset the handset.

What to do if the handset does not ring?

• The SMS feature is available only when handset is connected with KX-TCD505/KX-TCD515/KX-TCD535.
• The digital answering system is available only when handset is connected with KX-TCD510/KX-TCD515.

Battery Charge

• To charge, place the handset on the base unit or charger.
• Please charge the batteries for approximately 7 hours before initial use.

Registering a Handset to the Base Unit

• You must register the Handset to the base unit before use.

1 Press JOYSTICK (or move).

2 Select "Setting Handset".

3 Select "Registration".

4 Select "Register H/set".

5 Press and hold on the Base unit (for about 3 seconds) until the tone sounds.

If all registered handsets start ringing (Paging), press to stop paging then start over again.

6 Select the desired base unit.

7 Enter 4-digit Base Unit PIN after "Enter Base PIN" is displayed. Factory preset 0000

8 Press JOYSTICK.

When a handset is registered successfully, a confirmation tone sounds and the "Ψ" icon lights.

• To exit the operation, press at any time.

Charger Information

The handset batteries are charged by placing the handset on the charger.

Connection

• Connect as shown (p. 2(B)).
• Use ONLY Panasonic AC ADAPTOR PQLV200CE.
• The AC Adaptor must remain connected at all times. (It is normal for the adaptor to feel warm during use.)
• To maximise battery life it is advisable not to place the handset on the charger until the "boxed" symbol flashes.
• Charge the handset batteries fully when "—" flashes or the unit beeps every 1 minute.
• The batteries cannot be overcharged.

Wall Mounting

This unit can be mounted on a wall.

• Insert screws into the wall. The centre of the screw hole should be 2.8 cm horizontally apart.
• Connect the AC adaptor.
• Arrange the wires as shown (p. 2(C)), then mount the unit.

Battery Caution

To reduce the risk of fire or injury to persons, read and follow these instructions.

• Use only specified batteries.
• Only use rechargeable batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not dispose of batteries in a fire, they may explode. Check local waste management codes for special disposal instructions.
• Do not open or mutilate the batteries. Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause burns or injury to the eyes or skin. The electrolyte may be toxic if swallowed.
• Exercise care in handling the batteries in order not to short the batteries with conductive materials such as rings, bracelets and keys. The batteries and/or conductor may overheat and cause burns.
• Charge the batteries provided in accordance with the information given in this operating guide.

Registering the handset to the base unit

The handset must be registered to the base unit before use.

1 Press (or move) the JOYSTICK.

2 Press “PROGRAM”

3 Select “RECORDING”.

4 Press “RECORDING”

5 Press and hold the REC button for about 3 seconds. If all the recordings start to play back (AUTO PLAY), press the STOP button to stop playback and reset.

6 Press the REC button you want.
