How to adjust the eyecups when wearing glasses?

For glasses wearers, use the eyecups in the fully down position. You can also adjust to one of the two click-stop positions before reaching the down position.

How to use the eyecups without glasses?

For those not wearing glasses, extend the eyecups to the fully up position. You can also use the intermediate click-stop positions for precise adjustment.

How to attach the strap and objective lens caps?

Attach the strap as shown (image A). For the objective lens caps, hang them on the strap during observation (image B). The eyepiece protector can be left hanging or removed as shown.

How to clean the binocular lenses?

Use a dusting spray can held vertically and at least 30 cm from the lenses. Move the spray to avoid concentrating liquid on one spot. Wipe off any moisture before adjusting moving parts.

Are the binoculars waterproof?

Yes, they are waterproof up to 1 meter depth for 10 minutes. However, they are not designed for underwater use. Do not expose them to a strong water jet. Nitrogen filling also makes them fog-proof.

How to adjust focus and diopter?

Use the central focus ring. To compensate for differences in vision between your two eyes, turn the diopter adjustment ring (individual adjustment of the right eyepiece) until you get a sharp image, referring to the diopter index.

What is the minimum focus distance?

The minimum focus distance is approximately 2.5 meters (8.2 feet). This allows observing relatively close subjects.

How to adjust the distance between the two barrels (interpupillary distance)?

Pivot the two barrels around the central axis until the two image circles merge into one. The adjustment range is 56 to 72 mm.

What to do if the image is blurry?

First check the central focus adjustment. If the image is still blurry on one side, adjust the diopter. Also ensure the interpupillary distance is correctly set and the lenses are clean.

Can I use these binoculars in the rain?

Yes, they are resistant to rain, dust, and high humidity. After use, wipe off any moisture before storing or adjusting moving parts. Do not deliberately immerse them.

Eyecups

For directions in which to turn the eyecups, please refer to the image on page 3.

• For eyeglass wearers, use fully retracted. To accurately adjust your view, you can also use either of the two click stops before reaching the fully retracted position.
• For non-eyeglass wearers, use fully extended. To accurately adjust your eye position, you can also use either of the two click stops before reaching the fully extended position.

Neckstrap and caps during observation

Please refer to images A, B and C on page 3.

Neck Strap

Attach the neckstrap as illustrated (A), paying special attention to avoid twisting the strap.

Objective lens caps

You may wish to hang the objective lens caps from the neckstrap during observation to avoid losing them (B).

Eyepiece cap

There are two ways you can position the eyepiece cap as you observe your subject.

• Remove the eyepiece cap from the eyepieces and allow it to hang from the neckstrap.
• Remove the eyepiece cap from the eyepieces, then detach the right strap from the cap and allow it to hang from the left neckstrap (B).

About waterproof and defogging:

• All models shown are waterproof, and will suffer no damage to the optical system if submerged or dropped in water to a maximum depth of 1m (3.3 ft) for up to 10 minutes.
• Can be used in conditions of high humidity, dust and rain without risk of damage.
• Nitrogen-filled design makes them resistant to condensation and mold.

Observe the following when using these products:

• The binoculars cannot be used underwater. Also, do not subject it to strong water pressure such as from running water.
• Any moisture should be wiped off before adjusting movable parts (focusing knob, eyepiece, etc.) of these products to prevent damage and for safety reasons.
  To keep your binoculars in excellent condition, regular servicing by authorized dealer is recommended.

Cleaning lens

When cleaning the binoculars' objective lenses using an aerosol-type dust cleaner, make sure to hold the can upright at least 30 cm (11.8 in.) from the lens surface while moving the can to avoid focusing the vaporized liquid gas on one point.
