1. Read all instructions.

2. This accessory is not intended for use by persons with

reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

3. This accessory shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance

and its cord out of reach of children.

4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near

children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

5. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put motor unit,

cord, or plug in water or other liquid.

6. Avoid contacting moving parts. Wait until all moving parts have

stopped before you remove any part of the accessory.

7. Keep hands and utensils away from moving cones while

processing food to reduce the risk of severe personal injury and/or damage to the appliance. A rubber scraper may be used, but ONLY when the accessory is not running.

8. The use of accessories not recommended or sold by the

appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.

9. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully when inserting, removing,

and during cleaning. Store out of reach of children.

10. Do not use outdoors.

11. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot

surfaces, including stove.

12. Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner,

or in a heated oven.

13. Turn the appliance OFF ( ), then unplug from outlet when

not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.

14. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged supply cord or

plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Supply cord replacement and repairs must be conducted by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Call the provided customer service number for information on examination, repair, or adjustment.

15. Never feed food by hand. Always use food pusher.

16. Operating time cannot exceed 3 minutes per use.

17. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cones on base without

first putting cone holder properly in place.

18. Check that the appliance is OFF ( ) before plugging cord into

wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the control to OFF ( ); then remove plug from wall outlet. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.

19. Do not use accessory for other than intended purpose.

To reduce the risk of personal injury, always unplug mixer before inserting or removing accessories. NOTE: Make sure no bowl attachment (such as flat beater, whisk or dough hook) is installed. Never operate Stand Mixer with both Power Hub Accessory and Bowl Attachment connected.

1. Before inserting Accessory,

make sure Stand Mixer is unplugged and Stand Mixer Speed Control Dial is set to OFF ( ).

2. Lift up Power Hub Cover and

let rest on Mixer Head.

3. Turn Power Hub Knob

counterclockwise until the screw cannot be seen in Power Hub Opening.5

4. Insert Housing Pin straight

into Power Hub Opening, aligning Tab on Housing with Tab Opening near Power Hub Knob. Turn Power Hub Knob clockwise to tighten and hold Accessory in place.

5. While holding Cone at

opening end, insert Cone straight into Housing. Carefully, turn Cone clockwise to secure in place.

6. Plug Stand Mixer into outlet.

7. Cut food to fit into Food

Chute and place a large bowl under Housing.

8. Add food to Food Chute and

use Food Pusher to push food into Slicer/Shredder. Select speeds 1-3 on Stand Mixer.

9. When finished shredding

or slicing, turn Stand Mixer Speed Control Dial to OFF ( ) and unplug. How to Attach Slicer/Shredder Accessory (cont.) How to Disassemble:

1. Before removing Housing, make sure Stand Mixer is unplugged and Stand Mixer Speed Control Dial is set to OFF ( ).

2. Carefully turn Cone counterclockwise to remove. While holding Housing, unscrew Power Hub Knob counterclockwise, then turn Housing counterclockwise to remove. Lower Power Hub Cover and turn Power Hub Knob clockwise to lock. w CAUTION Cut Hazard. Unplug before inserting or removing parts. Keep fingers away from cone and out of feed chute. Always use food pusher.6 Care and Cleaning

1. Cones and Food Pusher are dishwasher-safe in top rack only.

2. Wash Housing in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.

3. Wipe Base of Stand Mixer with a clean, damp cloth and dry.

  • Packing too much food in the Food Chute or pushing too hard on the Food Pusher may cause the processed food to be irregularly sliced or shredded. Cheese is not shredding well.
  • Cheese should be processed immediately after being removed from the refrigerator. Soft cheese like mozzarella should be placed in the freezer for 30 minutes prior to processing to ensure it is firm enough for shredding. Fruits or vegetables are not shredding or slicing.
  • Fruits or vegetables should be firm and not overripe. Store fruits and vegetables with high water content in the refrigerator prior to processing.
