USER MANUAL EB114964 Emerio

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years

and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

2. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by

children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

3. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children

aged less than 8 years.

4. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical,

sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

5. Children shall not play with the appliance.

6. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the

manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

7. CAUTION: Avoid injuries from the egg pricking device. The

piercing pin is very sharp; use with extreme caution!- 15 -

8. This appliance is intended to be used in household and

similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environment; bed and breakfast type environments.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS Always unplug the appliance and allow cooling before cleaning. The egg tray and the cover can be washed normally. However, the heating plate which is fixed to the bottom of the appliance can only be cleaned with a moistened towel. Do not immerse the appliance in water! When excessive scales are deposited on the heating plate, normal household vinegar can be used to remove the scales. Dilute the vinegar with water (add 1 part vinegar to 10 parts of water). Pour the solution onto the heating plate. Allow soaking for about 30 minutes. Then pour away the liquid. Wipe the heating plate clean with a moistened towel. SAFETY MEASURES The appliance should not be used when:

1. The cable is damaged.

2. The appliance can be visually seen damaged.

3. The appliance has been dropped onto the floor, even if visible damage is not seen.
