How to mount the filters on the AR4A20 vacuum?

First mount the F9 filter on the motor base and secure it with the screw. Make sure the plastic part of the filter presses the presence switch. Then place the fireproof fabric filter over it, completely covering it.

What to do if suction power decreases during use?

Press the dust elimination button (8) 5 times with an interval of 2-3 seconds between each press, while leaving the device running. If the problem persists, turn off, unplug and clean the filters.

Can I vacuum hot or glowing ashes?

No, the ash temperature must not exceed 45°C. Do not vacuum ashes or incandescent materials like cigarettes, as this could cause a fire.

How to clean the filters of the ash vacuum?

After each use, shake the filters and brush off residues. If power decreases, wash the filters only with cold water, then let dry completely (the F9 filter requires 24h). Do not use a dryer.

Can the vacuum suck up liquids?

No, this device is designed only for dry ashes. Avoid vacuuming liquids, flammable, explosive, corrosive or harmful materials.

How to use the blower function?

Connect the flexible metal hose to the blower connection (17) by turning clockwise. Use the aluminum tube to direct the air to the material to blow. Ensure the device is off before connecting.

How to empty the container and maintain the device?

Unplug the device. Turn the tube counterclockwise to remove it. Open the locking clips (9), remove the lid and filters. Empty the container and wash it with water if necessary. Clean the tubes and let all parts dry before reassembling.

What to do if the power cord is damaged?

Contact the authorized After-Sales Services by the manufacturer. Do not use the device if the cord is damaged.

Can children use this vacuum?

Yes, children over 8 years old can use it under supervision, provided they have received instructions on safe use. Children must not play with the device.

What is the warranty of the AR4A20 vacuum?

The warranty is 2 years from the date of purchase, valid only with the receipt. It covers manufacturing defects. Damages due to improper use are not covered.

ASH VACUUM CLEANER - Instructions for use

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

If the power cable gets damaged, it has to be replaced only at a service centre approved by the manufacturer in order to avoid a hazard.

Do not leave the unit on if it is not supervised by the user.

The temperature of the ash must not exceed 45^ .

WARNING: do not suck up ash or other incandescent materials (e.g. cigarettes); there is a risk of fire if the temperature of the material to be removed is greater than 45^ .

Do not suck up liquids, flammable and explosive materials, corrosive materials, harmful materials, fire-start materials.

Do not use the unit without the filters in position or with a damaged filter.

Keep the pipe and the filters clean.

Use only the original filters and accessories; in case of need, contact an authorised service centre.

Disconnect the unit from the power supply during cleaning operations.

Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the power supply voltage matches the indication on the data plate.

If the plug and socket are not compatible, the socket has to be replaced with a suitable type by skilled persons.

Do not use adapters or extension cables which do not meet current safety standards or that exceed the current carrying capacity limits.

When you don't use the appliance disconnect it from the power supply and assure that the interruptor is off.

The use of any electrical appliance requires that a number of basic rules are observed, namely:

The appliance has been designed and manufactured to operate in the home as ASH VACUUM CLEANER. Any other use is considered inappropriate and dangerous.

If you decide you do not want to use this appliance any longer, disable it by cutting the power cable - of course, after disconnecting it from the socket.

The power cable should be extended to its full lenght to avoid over heating.

For safety reasons, the appliance should never be opened.

Place the appliance on a fiat surface during use.

1. Install the F9 filter (14) on the motor base (12) and secure it well with the fixing screw (15). The plastic part of the filter must

press against the filter presence switch (11), otherwise the unit will not work (figure 2 at the end of the booklet).

Note - the filter must be removed and cleaned after each use.

1. Install the fabric filter (16) on top of the F9 filter, making sure that it covers it completely.

1. Place the cover (4) on the container (10) and close the locking clip (9).

2. "SUCTION" FUNCTION: connect the flexible metal hose (6) to the suction connection (5)

"BLOW" FUNCTION: connect the flexible metal hose (6) to the blow connection (17).

Note - insert the hose fitting in the guides on the relative connection (5 or 17) and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.

1. "SUCTION" FUNCTION: Make sure that the material to be sucked up has cooled down.

Note - be careful because it may be cool on the outside but still hot on the inside and, when it comes in contact with the air, it may become incandescent again.

1. Position the aluminium pipe (7) near the material to be sucked up or blown.

2. Make sure that the switch (2) is set to "0", then insert the plug in the power outlet.

3. Turn on the unit by turning the switch (2) to position "l".

4. "SUCTION" FUNCTION: Suck up the ash using the aluminium pipe (7).

NOTE: if the suction power decreases during use, perform the following operations: with the unit on, press the dusk shaking button 5 times (8) with the aluminium pipe (7), waiting 2-3 seconds before pressing each time (see figure 3 at the end of the booklet).

If the suction power does not improve, it is necessary to switch the unit off, disconnect it from the power supply and clean the filters (see MAINTENANCE).

"BLOW" FUNCTION: direct the aluminium pipe (7) towards the material to be blown.

1. After use, turn the unit off by turning the switch (2) to position "0".
2. Remove the plug from the power outlet.
3. Remove the flexible hose by turning the fitting counterclockwise. Empty out the container (10), clean the filters (14 + 16) and the hoses (6 + 7) as indicated in the "Maintenance" paragraph.

MAINTENANCE

NOTE: it is advisable to carry out the cleaning operations outdoors Disconnect the plug from the power outlet before performing any cleaning and maintenance operation.

Disconnect the hose (6) by turning it counter-clockwise, open the locking clip (9), remove the cover (4) and remove the filters (14-16).

• Empty out the container (10) and, if necessary, wash it with water.
• Empty out the hoses (6-7) and, if necessary, wash them with water.
• Clean the filters (14-16):

O after each use, shake the filters and remove any dust residues using a brush;
o after several uses, if the suction power seems to have reduced, wash the filters with cold water only, then let them dry completely (24h for F9 filter) before putting it back in place (do not use dryers or other means).

Note: washing in water gradually deteriorates the filters. If, after washing the filters, the suction power still seems reduced, replace the filters.

Reassemble the parts on the unit only when completely dry.

• To clean the unit externally, use a soft and slightly damp cloth.

Do not use overly wet substances, liquids or cloths, because any infiltration could damage the unit irreparably.

Do not use alcohol or chemicals to clean the unit and the filters.

NEVER SOAK THE UNIT IN WATER.

The guarantee is valid for 24 months.

This guarantee applies only if it has been duly filled in and is submitted with the receipt showing the date of purchase.

The guarantee covers the replacement or repair of parts making up the appliance which were faulty at source due to manufacturing faults.

After the guarantee has expired, the appliance will be repaired against payment.

The manufacturer declines any responsibility for damage to persons, animals or property due to misuse of the appliance and failure to observe the directions contained in the instructions.

Limits

All rights under this guarantee and any responsibility on our part will be voided if the appliance has been:

• mishandled by unauthorized persons
• improperly used, stored or transported.

The guarantee does not cover damage to the outward appearance or any other that does not prevent regular operation.
