Frequently Asked Questions - dCopia 403MFen OLIVETTI

How to load paper in the multipurpose tray?
Pull the MP tray until it locks. Adjust the width guides according to the size (A4, envelope, etc.). Insert the paper with the print side up, then push the tray back. For envelopes, place the flap to the left (landscape) or to the front (portrait).
How to replace the toner cartridge?
Open the top cover. Remove the used cartridge by pulling it toward you. Take the new cartridge out of its packaging, shake it gently to distribute the toner, then insert it until it clicks. Close the cover. Toner cartridges are specific: black (K), cyan (C), magenta (M), yellow (Y).
How to make a duplex copy?
Place the original in the document feeder. On the screen, press Copy, then select Duplex. Choose the desired mode (e.g., 1 -> 2 sides). Press Start. The machine will automatically flip the paper to print on the back.
How to connect the printer to the network?
Connect an Ethernet cable between the printer's network port (on the back of the machine) and your router. Turn on the printer. From the control panel, go to System Menu > System > Network Settings > TCP/IP Configuration. Enable TCP/IP and configure the IP address (automatic via DHCP or manual). Restart the printer.
How to clean the exposure glass?
Turn off the printer and unplug it. Open the document feeder cover. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or glass cleaner. Gently wipe the slit glass (narrow strip) and the main glass. Do not pour liquid directly on the glass. Wait until it is dry before closing.
What to do in case of a paper jam?
Open the top cover and the rear cover. Gently remove the jammed paper following the ejection direction. Consult the visual guide in the manual. If the jam persists, check the cassettes and the MP tray. Ensure the paper is smooth and the guides are correctly adjusted.
How to save toner (EcoPrint mode)?
In Copy mode, press EcoPrint on the screen (or via the Function menu). EcoPrint mode reduces toner density, extending cartridge life. For printing from a computer, select EcoPrint in the printer driver properties.
How to send a scanned document by email?
Place the original in the feeder. Press Send. Select E-mail. Enter the destination address (via the keyboard or address book). You can adjust resolution, file format (PDF, JPEG). Press Start. Ensure the SMTP server is configured in the Embedded Web Server.
How to set the date and time?
Press System Menu/Counter. Go to Common Settings > Date Setting. First set the time zone, then daylight saving time, then the date and time. Use the arrow keys to navigate. Confirm with OK. Proper configuration ensures accurate timestamp on emails and reports.
How to print from a USB flash drive?
Insert the USB flash drive into the slot on the front of the printer (near the MP tray). On the screen, press Document Box, then USB Memory. Select the file (PDF, JPEG, TIFF, XPS). You can adjust the number of copies, duplex, etc. Press Start. Remember to remove the drive after printing via the Remove USB Memory option.
