Safety regulations Cooker hoods

It is important that you carefully read the instructions.

• Thisapplianceisonlydesignedforhouseholduse.
• CAUTION: Accessible parts may become hot when used with cooking appliances.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Donotallowchildrentoplaywiththeappliance.
• Donotallowchildrentocleanormaintaintheapplianceunless supervised.
• Alwaysprovideadequateventilation!
• Thereshallbeadequateventilationoftheroomwhentherange hoodisusedatthesametimeasappliancesburninggasorother fuels.
• Whentherangehoodandappliancessuppliedwithenergyother thanelectricityaresimultaneouslyinoperation,thenegative pressureintheroommustnotexceed4Pa(4×10 -5 bar).
• Localregulationsconcerningthedischargeofairhavetobefulfilled.
• Neveruseapressurecleanerorsteamcleanertocleanthe appliance.

• Onlyusetheapplianceinsidethehome.

• Donotusethecookerhoodifthegreasefilterhasnotbeenfitted properly!

• Donotleanagainstthecookerhood.

• Neverusethecookerhoodasaworkingsurfaceunlessthis indicatedexplicitly.
• Greaseandoilareinflammablewhenoverheated.Remaininthe cookingareawhenpreparingmeals.
• Topreventhotfatfromcatchingfire, you should only deep-fry undercontinuoussupervision.
• Thecookerhoodshouldbecleanedregularlybothontheoutside aswellastheinside(atleast1xpermmonth).Insufficientcleaning oradelayinthereplacementofffilterscancauseafirehazard.
• Cleanthefiltersontime.
• Thegreasefilterscanbecomehotduringuse. Aftercookingwait atleast30minutesbeforecleaning.
• Please note! Intensive use can lead to condensation on the cookerhood. Condensationissimpletoremovewith drycloth.
• Followtheinstructionsinthemanicalforcleaningorreplacing the greasefiltersand/orcarbonfilters!

DANGEROFFIRE!

Thereisariskoffireiftheinstructionsforcleaningorreplacing greasefiltersand/orcarbonfiltersarenotfollowed.

Throughgreasedepositsinthemetalgreasefilter.Neverwork withopenflameundertheappliance(eg.flambéing).Alwaysuse theappliancewiththemetalgreasefilter.Cleanthegreasefilter regularly.

Throughoverheatedfatoroil.Neverextinguishafirewithwater; alwaysuseafireblanket,lidorplate.

• Theappliancemayhavesharpedges;pleasebecarefulduring cleaning.

• ThelightemittedbyLEDlightsisverydazzlingandcandamage theeeyes.DonotlookdirectlyintotheswitchedonLEDlightsfor longerthan100seconds.

• When washing grease filters in the dishwasher is recommended to use as short, non-intensive programme. Check the grease filter after washing in the dishwasher for wear (loose material). Wear canoccuras results of frequent washing. If loose material is visible, replace the filters in order to prevent this loose material from ending up in the food that is cooked.

• Donotusetheapplianceintemperaturesbelow 5^ C .
• Keepa20cmseparationdistancetotheappliance.

• Check the appliance for transport damage. Donot connect a damaged appliance.
• Faultypartsmayonlybereplacedbyoriginalparts. Themanufacturercanonlyguaranteethatoriginalpartsmeet safetyrequirements.
• Ifthisupplycordisdamaged, it mustbereplacedby the manufacturer, its service agents similarly qualified persons in ordertoavoidahazard.
• AlwaysusetheoriginalSupplycordtoconnecttheappliance.
• Theelectricalconnectionmustcomplywithnationalandlocal regulations.
• Thewallplugsocketandplugshouldalwaysbeaccessible.
• Ifastationaryapplianceisnotfittedwithasupplycordanda plug,orwithothermeansfordisconnectionfromthesupplymains havingacontactseparationinalpolesthatprovidefull disconnectionunderovervoltagecategoryllconditions,the meansfordisconnectionmustbeincorporatedinthefixedwiring inaccordancewiththewiringrules. Extractionhoodsandotherappliancesthatextractcooking vapourscanaffectthesafeoperationofappliancesthatburn gasorotherfuel(includingthoseinotherrooms)bybackflowing combustion gases. These gases can potentially lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. Afterinstallinganextractionhoodorther vapourextractor, the operation of appliances with fluegas extraction must be tested by a competent person to ensure that the combustion gases donot flowback.

• Disconnecttheappliancefromthemainssupplybeforestarting anyrepairwork.
• Weadviseyoutowearprotectivegloveswhenassemblingthe cookerhoodbecauseofthepossiblesharpedges.
• Thedistancebetweenthellowestpointofthecookerhood and thesupportingsurfaceforthecookingvesselsgashobshould beatleast65cm.
• If the instruction of the hash obspecify agreaterdistance, this hastobetakenintoaccount.

Failuretoinstallscrewtorfixingdevicesinaccordancewiththese instructionsmayresultinanelectricalhazard.

Ifthesafetyinstructionsand warningsarenotfollowed,the manufacturercannotbeheldresponsibleforanyresultingdamage.

If you decide to continue using the appliance because of a fault, we recommend you cut off the cable after removing the plug from the plug socket. Take the appliance to your municipality's waste disposalsite.
