Do not install with sharp fasteners or nails. Always remove the mains plug from the socket before installing, dismantling or cleaning. Never touch the mains plug or the rope light with wet hands. CAUTION! RISK OF OVERHEATING! The lamps in the fairy lights have a power input of

0.455 W each. This wattage not only produces

light, but also heat. Do not operate the LED rope light

in the packaging or when it is rolled up. Ensure the rope light is mounted to provide adequate heat-circulation. Do not cover the rope light with blankets, cushions, or similar heat insulating materials. Use the lighting only with the parts described in these instructions. If the rope light is not to be used for any length of time (e.g. holidays), disconnect it from the power supply. After use, keep the rope light in the packaging to prevent unwanted damage. Keep away from ponds and other water reser- voirs. Install the rope light at least 2 metres away from water containers. Avoid place that might flood after heavy rainfall. If using the rope light outdoors, make sure it is connected to a socket which is protected with a faulty voltage protection switch (FI or RCD) for a maximum faulty voltage up to 30 mA. The rope light is protected against splashes of water (IP44) as long as the socket meets the minimum protection standard. Make sure the rope light is not laid down in areas where lawn mowers, trimmers, scissors or similar cutting tools are used. Do not pull the light chain cable and make sure it is laid down properly so that no one walks or trips over it. If in any doubt about the safe installation or use of this product, please consult a qualified electrician. Installation safety instructions Make sure that the product is only installed by competent persons. The rope light can be installed on all normally inflammable surfaces with the enclosed mounting parts. CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Make sure that there are no power, gas or water lines located where you wish to drill. Check with a cable and pipe locator if necessary be- fore you begin drilling. Before installation, check whether the surface is suitable for the mounting parts and the weight of the rope light. If you are in any doubt, consult an electrical specialist for advice. Do not use sharp and / or pointed objects such as wire, nails or fasteners to mount the rope light. Do not attach any additional objects to the rope light. Avoid excessive bending of the rope light. This can damage the insulation.5 GB/IE The bending radius of the rope must not fall below the following value: rope diameter between 10–14 mm: 2 cm. Avoid excessive heating of the rope light.
