Safety Instructions

WARNING!
- Danger to life from cables!
Children can become entangled and strangled in the cables.
Ensure that the transmitter unit and mains cable remain at all times outside the reach of babies/children, i.e. at a distance of at least one metre. - Risk of explosion!
Use only the power adapter plug enclosed!
Use only the enclosed or identical accumulators or batteries! - Risk of suffocation through small parts, packaging and protective film!
Keep the product and packaging out of reach of children!
CAUTION!
- Danger of fire from the power adapter plugs!
Power adapter plugs can heat up.
Do not place any objects on the power adapter plugs. Never block access to the power adapter plugs with furniture or other objects. - Risk of tripping on account of improper cable routing!
Route cables so that no one can trip over them. - Risks to health and the environment from batteries!
Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to pollute the environment. They may contain toxic, ecologically hazardous heavy metals.
Use as Intended
The baby monitor is intended to monitor a room. The transmitter unit transmits vocal sounds from its location to the receiver unit. Any other use is considered unintended use. Unauthorized modifications or modifications are not permitted. Under no circumstances open the devices or attempt to repair them.

The devices are not suitable for medical use. Warning sounds or beeps from respiratory monitors or heartbeat monitors cannot be transmitted.
Use Only in a Suitable Environment
Observe local laws and regulations.
Prevent excessive exposure to smoke, dust, vibration, chemicals, moisture, heat or direct sunlight.

Starting up the Receiver Unit
The receiver unit is operated from a power supply via the power adapter socket [1]. By means of an installed battery, you can operate the receiver unit for up to 7 hours without a power adapter plug.
Connecting the Receiver Unit
Connect the power adapter lead from the power adapter socket [1] on the receiver unit to a properly installed mains power outlet. The receiver unit will switch on automatically.
Charging the Batteries
Connect power adapter plug with the power adapter plug adapter socket [1] to a properly installed electric mains socket. The LED [4] will flash.

The batteries must be charged for at least 2 hours before being used for the first time.
Switching the Receiver Unit On/Off
The receiver unit is automatically switched on as soon as the receiver unit is connected to a properly installed electric socket.
Push button 8. The receiver unit will switch off.
Operating and Charge Indicator on the Receiver Unit
The LED [3] lights up. The receiver unit is switched on.
The LED [4] is flashing. The batteries are being charged.
The LED [3] is flashing. The receiver/transmitter unit is located outside the range.
Putting the Transmitter Unit into Operation
The transmitter unit is operated from a power supply via the power adapter socket [10]. Place the unit at approx. 1 m distance from the bed of the child or of the person to be monitored and route the power supply cable so that no one can trip over it.
Connecting the Transmitter Unit
Connect the power adapter lead from the power adapter socket [10] on the transmitter unit to a properly installed mains power outlet. The transmitter unit will switch on automatically.
Operating Indicator on Transmitter Unit
The LED [12] lights up. The transmitter unit is switched on.
Operating/Charging indicator [13] flashes. The transmitter unit is located outside the range.
Transmission of Speech and Sound
The transmission of speech and sound is activated automatically. As soon as the transmitter unit recognises acoustic signals, these are transmitted to the receiver unit.
Push button [7] or [8]. The volume of the transmitted speech and sound will be respectively increased or decreased.
Lullaby
You can play a total of 3 lullabies on the transmitter unit.
On the Transmitter Unit
Push button [17]. Activates the lullaby on the transmitter unit.
Push button [17]. Deactivates the lullaby on the transmitter unit.
Push button [18] several times. Increases or decreases the volume of the lullaby.
On the Receiver Unit
Push button [9]. Deactivates the lullaby on the transmitter unit.
Night Light
The receiver unit and the transmitter unit are fitted with an integrated night light [2, 11].
The night light on the transmitter unit [11] can be switched on and off.
Push button [16]. Night light is switched on.
Push button [16]. Night light is switched off.

The night light on the receiver unit is permanently active and becomes brighter depending on the volume of the transmitted speech and sound.

There are any Problems
- The transmitter unit does not transmit any signals.
The power adapter of the transmitter unit is not correctly connected. Using the power adapter plug, connect the transmitter unit with to a properly installed mains power socket.
The units are set up outside their range. Place the receiver unit and the transmitter unit at a shorter distance from each other.
- The batteries inside the receiver unit discharge within a short time.
The volume is set too loud. Adjust the volume to protect the battery.
The batteries are defective/damaged. Contact your sales outlet for new batteries.
- Very short range.
There are too many walls or other electrical devices between the receiver unit and the transmitter unit. Move the installation location of the receiver and/or transmitter units.
The power adapter lead of the transmitter unit is not correctly connected. Using the power adapter plug, connect the transmitter unit to a properly installed mains power socket.
Care Instructions
Clean the housing surfaces using a soft and lint-free cloth.
Do not use cleaners or solvents.
Disposal

When you wish to dispose of your device, take it to a collection point provided by your local public waste authorities (e.g. recycling centre). According to the laws on the disposal of electronic and electrical devices, owners are obliged to dispose of old
electronic and electrical devices in a separate waste container. The adjacent symbol indicates that the device must not be disposed of in normal domestic waste!

You are obliged to dispose of batteries and power adapter plugs at shops which sell batteries, or at a collection point which provides the appropriate containers. Disposal is free of charge. The symbols indicate that the batteries must not be disposed of in normal domestic waste and that they must be brought to a collection point provided by the local public waste authorities.
Packaging materials must be disposed of according to local regulations.
