Before the first use, please read the manual carefully. Keep it for later reference and hand it over to its new owner, if you give the appliance to another person. Safety Precautions CAUTION! This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory and mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds with the voltage at your home.

• Ensure that the kettle is operated on a firm and flat surface.

• Always ensure the power plug is firmly inserted into the wall socket while the kettle is in use.

• The kettle can only be used to boil water and tea. Do not use it to cook coffee, alcohol or other liquids.

• Only use this appliance within the household for its intended purpose, not outdoors.

• Please make sure that the kettle is not filled above capacity for boiling water (max. 1,5L) and for preparing tea (max. 1,25L) to prevent injuries due to hot water.

• Always use the kettle with the attached power base.

• Do not let the power cord of the appliance hang over table edges, work surfaces or any hot surfaces.

• Do not move the appliance when switched on.

• Please refrain from further usage if the power cord, power plug or other parts are damaged. In case ofmalfunctions please contact your seller.

• If the kettle is filled with hot water, do not touch it except for the handle.

• For protection against electric shocks please do not immerse the device, its power cord and plug in water or other liquids.

• Please do not heat without water as it might damage the heating elements.

• Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate with too less water or without water, the kettle will shut off automatically. Unplug the kettle from the wall socket and fill it with cold water to cool down. After discarding the kettle is ready for use again.

• Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or change the appliance by yourself. Components

• Maximum capacity for preparing tea: 1,25 L

• Minimum capacity: 0,5 L

• Before the first use of the kettle, clean the kettle according to the following steps: while the tea filter is inserted, fill water into the kettle up to the maximum water level, then boil and discard the water.

• Operation steps for boiling water: o To fill the kettle, remove it from the power base and open the lid by pulling on the lid handle. o When pouring water into the kettle, make sure that the water is filled between the 0,5 L and 1,5 L marks, with or without an inserted, empty tea filter. o Make sure the lid is closed firmly. The lid handle should be turned clockwise until the stop. Place the kettle on the power base and connect to power supply. A sound signal will play. o Select the desired temperature by pressing on the according button. Press the on-/off-button to start the boiling process. Every action will be accompanied by a sound signal and lights. Please note that the appliance can only start working when the set temperature is above the temperature within the kettle. During the boiling process, the light of the temperature button will flash. When the water finished boiling, the sound signal will play twice, the light is lit continuously and the appliance will be in standby mode automatically.

• Operation steps for preparing tea: o To fill the kettle, remove it from the power base and open the lid by pulling on the lid handle. Alternatively, you can turn the lid handle anticlockwise and then pull it up. This way you will be able to insert and remove the tea filter with tea bags or loose tea leaves. o When pouring water into the kettle, fill the kettle with inserted and filled tea filter between 0,5 L and 1,25 L. o Make sure the lid is closed firmly. The lid handle should be turned clockwise until the stop. Place the kettle on the power base and connect to power supply. A sound signal will play. o The boiling temperature for tea varies depending on the tea type. Example: 70°C: Green tea 80°C: Oolong tea 90°C: Black tea 100°C: Herbal tea, fruit tea o Select the desired temperature by pressing on the according button. Press the on-/off-button to start the boiling process. Every action will be accompanied by a sound signal and lights. Please note that the appliance can only start working when the set temperature is above the temperature within the kettle. During the boiling process the light of the temperature button will flash. When the water finished boiling, the sound signal will play twice, the light is lit continuously and the appliance will be in standby mode automatically.

• Operation steps for keep-warm function: o To keep the water temperature on the same level for a period of time, press the keep-warm button. o Select your desired temperature (70°C, 80°C or 90°C) and press the on-/off-button. Please note that the keep-warm function cannot operate at 100°C. o During a time frame of one hour, the water will be heated automatically to stay at the desired temperature. After one hour the appliance will turn off by itself. If you wish to cancel the keep-warm function earlier, press the on-/off-button. o While the water is kept warm, you can lift the kettle from the power base to use. If the kettle is not put back on the power base after one minute, a sound signal will play and the appliance will turn off. Cleaning

• Always disconnect the kettle from the power outlet and let it cool before cleaning. Never immerse the kettle or its electric components in water to prevent electric shocks.

• Wipe over the exterior of the kettle with a soft wet cloth and then wipe dry with a dry cloth.

• Do not use any chemicals or other abrasive cleaning solvents to clean.

• Minerals in water may deposit at the bottom of kettle, which will influence the usability of the kettle. So periodical descaling is needed. Please use detergents according to their instructions or with vinegar.

• For the cleaning method using vinegar fill the kettle with 3 cups of vinegar, then add water until the maximum of the kettle and allow it to sit overnight. Empty the solution from the kettle. Fill the kettle with clean water to the maximum level, discard after boiling. Repeat for several times until there is no taste of vinegar left.In case of complaint

• You can claim the device within 24 months from date of purchase (receipt).

• A free replacement or repair will be excluded from prior improper product handling.

• Defects in wear parts, consumables, as well as cleaning, maintenance or replacement of said parts are therefore with costs.

• If you want to make a complaint, please bring the entire device in its original packaging and with proof of purchase to your dealer. For a timely and convenient service register, visit our website www.suntec- wellness.de and learn more.

• Without a proof of purchase, generally there will be no repair or replacement.

• In the event that the complaint case is analogous to our terms of service, all defects of the device or its accessories due to material or manufacturing defects will be eliminated by repair or, at our discretion, replacing the unit.

• The damage of accessories does not automatically lead to a free exchange of the whole device. In these cases, please contact your dealer. Glass breakage, or breakage of plastic parts are always to charge.

• The dealer or repair service can perform the repair after the expiration of warranty against charge. Note concerning protection of environment This product must not be disposed of via normal household waste after its service life, but must be taken to a collection station for the recycling of electrical and electronic devices. The symbol on the product, the operating instructions or the packaging indicates such disposal procedures. The materials are recyclable in accordance with their respective symbols. By means of re-use, material recycling or any other form of recycling old appliances you are making an important contribution to the protection of our environment. Please ask your local council where your nearest disposal station is located. As part of our extended producer responsibility, this product is indicated in accordance to the European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The aim is to avoid, reduce, and environmentally friendly disposal of electronic waste. Please help actively to protect the environment and dispose electronic waste through local collection points. During the 24 months warranty we guarantee to repair your appliance free of charge or to provide your seller the spare parts free of charge if the appliance fails to work due to production failure.
