Stainless steel electric kettle WAK-8557 temperature Instruction manualThank you for purchasing this product of the brand Suntec Wellness. Before the first use, please read the manual carefully. Keep it for later reference and hand it over to its new owner, if you give the appliance to another person. Safety Precautions CAUTION! This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory and mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

• Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds with the voltage at your home.

• Please be careful of hot surfaces and do not touch them as they might cause burns.

• Please remove the appliance from the wall socket when it is not in use, before cleaning and in case of malfunctions. Do not pull on the power cord but on the power plug. Make sure that your hands are dry.• Please do not use the appliance for other than its intended use. Other uses may cause fire. For domestic indoor use only.

• Please always use the kettle with its base. The base cannot be used for other purposes.

• The usage of accessories not provided by SUNTEC may cause harm.

• Please keep the power cord from table edges, working surfaces or any hot surfaces.

• Please do not use the appliance near heat sources such as ovens or gas stoves.

• To protect the heating element, never operate the unit without water.

• If you have used the appliance with little or no water, remove it from the power supply and allow it to cool completely before putting the device back into operation.

• Always use the appliance on a firm and flat surface and out of reach of children.

• Never immerse the appliance, its power cord and plug in water or other liquids to prevent electric shocks. Always keep the base away from water.

• Please be cautious of hot water and steam. Do not touch the spout and never leave the lid open during boiling process. Danger of scalding!

• The kettle can only be used to boil water. Do not use it to cook coffee, tea, milk or other liquids.

• Do not move the kettle during boiling process.

• Please refrain from further usage if the power cord, power plug or the appliance are damaged and contact your seller.

• Please do not insert any foreign objects into the appliance as this may cause electric shocks, fire ordamages to the appliance.

• Please do not leave the appliance unattended.

• If the appliance is used at a room temperature below 0°C, the device must not be continuously connected to the power supply.

• Control panel and LCD display:

• Please clean the unit before initial operation by boiling the maximum amount of water and then emptying the container. Please repeat the process twice more. The exact procedure for boiling water can be found in the following instructions.

• The capacity of the kettle is 1,7 L.

• Boiling water: o Please remove the container from its base and open the lid by pressing the lid opening button. Please fill the tank with at least 0.5L, but max. 1.7L water. Then press the lid to close it. The lid must be tightly closed and the bottom of the container must be completely dry before placing the container back on the base. o Please connect the device to the power supply. The LCD display shows the flashing symbol "- ", which indicates the standby mode.o To boil the water directly to 100°C, press the on/off button on the control panel. The LCD display shows the target temperature during the cooking process. o To select a different target temperature, press the temperature setting button in standby mode. Use this button to select between 50°C, 60°C, 70°C, 80°C, 90°C and 100°C. As soon as your desired target temperature is displayed, press the on/off button to start the cooking process. o Towards the end of the cooking process, the target temperature flashes on the display for 10 seconds. The unit then switches back to standby mode.

• Boiling water with keep warm function: o If you want to boil your water to 100°C and then keep it warm at a certain temperature, please press the keep-warm button in standby mode. With this button you can now choose between holding temperatures of 50°C, 60°C, 70°C, 80°C and 90°C. The indicator light for the warm-up function appears on the LCD display. Press the on/off button to start the cooking process. o If you want to boil your water to a temperature other than 100°C and keeping it warm, first press the temperature setting button in standby mode. Please select your desired target temperature during cooking and then press the keep-warm button. Please select your desired holding temperature and start the cooking process with the on/off button. o During the cooking process, the cooking temperature and the holding temperature are displayed alternately. After the cooking process has been completed, only the holding temperature is displayed and the water is kept warm at this temperature for 30 minutes. After the time has elapsed, the appliance is put into standby mode.

• If you wish to cancel a cooking process in progress, press the on/off button. The appliance is put directly into standby mode.

• If the water temperature is higher than the set target temperature, the LCD display flashes for 10 seconds and the unit returns to standby mode. Cleaning

• Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and let it cool before cleaning. Never immerse the appliance in water to prevent electric shocks.

• Wipe over the exterior of the appliance with a soft wet cloth and then wipe dry with a dry cloth.

• Please do not use any aggressive or chemical cleaning agents or abrasive cleaning agents, such as steel wool.

• It is recommended to remove lime residue regularly to ensure proper use of the kettle. You can use commercially available descaling agents according to the instructions for use, vinegar or citric acid.

• For the cleaning method with vinegar, please fill the container up to the 0.5L mark with vinegar. Leave the vinegar to soak for one hour and then pour it out. Please rinse the container at least 4-5 times with water.

• For the citric acid cleaning method, boil 0.5L of water and then add 25g of citric acid. Please leave the mixture to soak for 15 minutes and then pour it out. Please rinse the container at least 4-5 times with water.In case of complaint

• You can claim the device within 24 months from date of purchase (receipt).

• A free replacement or repair will be excluded from prior improper product handling.

• Defects in wear parts, consumables, as well as cleaning, maintenance or replacement of said parts are therefore with costs.

• If you want to make a complaint, please bring the entire device in its original packaging and with proof of purchase to your dealer. For a timely and convenient service register, visit our website www.suntec- wellness.de and learn more.

• Without a proof of purchase, generally there will be no repair or replacement.

• In the event that the complaint case is analogous to our terms of service, all defects of the device or its accessories due to material or manufacturing defects will be eliminated by repair or, at our discretion, replacing the unit.

• The damage of accessories does not automatically lead to a free exchange of the whole device. In these cases, please contact your dealer. Glass breakage, or breakage of plastic parts are always to charge.

• The dealer or repair service can perform the repair after the expiration of warranty against charge. Note concerning protection of environment This product must not be disposed of via normal household waste after its service life, but must be taken to a collection station for the recycling of electrical and electronic devices. The symbol on the product, the operating instructions or the packaging indicates such disposal procedures. The materials are recyclable in accordance with their respective symbols. By means of re-use, material recycling or any other form of recycling old appliances you are making an important contribution to the protection of our environment. Please ask your local council where your nearest disposal station is located. As part of our extended producer responsibility, this product is indicated in accordance to the European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The aim is to avoid, reduce, and environmentally friendly disposal of electronic waste. Please help actively to protect the environment and dispose electronic waste through local collection points. During the 24 months warranty we guarantee to repair your appliance free of charge or to provide your seller the spare parts free of charge if the appliance fails to work due to production failure.
