Frequently Asked Questions - OM265RVS ETNA

How to defrost food in this oven?
Use the Defrost function. The fan circulates air at 30°C. Place the food on the rack at level 2 or 3. The time depends on the size of the food.
What to do in case of condensation on the oven door?
Condensation is normal, especially when cooking moist dishes. Wipe the door and glass after cooking. To reduce condensation, avoid opening the door unnecessarily.
How to clean the inner glass of the door?
First remove the oven door (see manual). Remove the cover by pressing on the sides, then take out the glass. Clean with a soft cloth and soapy water, then reassemble in reverse order.
How to replace the oven bulb?
Cut off the power supply. Turn the bulb cover to the left to remove it. Replace with a suitable 25 W bulb (heat-resistant type). Use gloves if the bulb is hot.
What to do if the oven does not heat up?
Check that the timer is set to a time or manual mode, that the door is properly closed, and that the power supply is present (fuse, plug). If the problem persists, contact customer service.
How to use the timer for automatic shut-off?
Turn the timer to 120 minutes then back to the desired time. The oven stops automatically at the end of the time. For continuous operation, use manual mode ("☆" position).
Which cooking modes to use for a pizza?
For a crispy pizza, use Top heat + bottom heat at 200-220°C. Preheat the oven and place the pizza on the rack at level 2. Monitor the cooking.
Why does the fan continue after stopping?
This is normal: the cooling fan continues to run for a few minutes after stopping to protect the components. Do not unplug the appliance during this time.
How to save energy with this oven?
Keep the door closed during cooking. Turn off the oven 5 to 10 minutes before the end: residual heat finishes cooking. Cook multiple dishes at once if possible.
Which dishes can I use in this oven?
Use oven-safe dishes that can withstand 250°C. Avoid plastic or wooden containers. The provided drip tray and rack are suitable for most preparations.

First use

  • Open the door, remove all the packaging and check the oven for damage. Don't install the oven if it is damaged, but contact your supplier.
  • Remove the protective film from the casing.
  • Clean the oven interior and accessories with a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaner or strong-smelling cleaning products.
  • Connect the oven to the mains.

  • Once cold, clean the oven with warm water.

ETNA OM265RVS - First use - 1

During this first operation, smoke and smells will be produced. The kitchen should therefore be well ventilated.

Remarks

  • When heating the oven for the first time, you will notice a ‘new-oven smell’. This is normal.
  • The temperature can be changed during cooking.
  • Cooking times are rough estimates and can vary depending on a number of conditions.
  • For certain dishes, the oven should be preheated.
  • If you use baking paper, this should be able to withstand high temperatures.
  • A lot of steam is released when cooking larger pieces of meat or dishes using dough, such as pies. This can cause condensation on the oven door. This is a normal occurrence and does not influence the functioning of the appliance. When the cooking process has ended, dry the door and the glass.
  • Prevent condensation from forming and do not allow hot food to cool in a closed oven.
