Frequently Asked Questions - DU5671 VIVITEK

How to replace the lamp of the Vivitek DU5671 projector?
Turn off and unplug the projector. Wait at least 30 minutes for the lamp to cool. Remove the lamp cover on top, unscrew the module screws, remove the old lamp and insert the new one. Reset the lamp counter in the OSD menu (Settings 2 > Advanced 1 > Reset Lamp).
How to clean the dust filter?
The dust filter is an optional part. To clean it, turn off and unplug the projector, then remove the filter and vacuum the dust or wash it with warm water. Let it dry completely before reinstalling. Replace the filter every 500 hours of use.
How to activate the HDBaseT function?
In the OSD menu, go to Settings 2 > Advanced 1 > HDBaseT and set it to On. Connect a Cat5e/Cat6 cable from the HDBaseT TX box to the HDBaseT port of the projector. Make sure the TX box is certified (e.g., Rextron EVBMN-110L38).
How to set up a security password?
In the OSD menu, go to Settings 1 > Advanced 1 > Security Lock and enable it. An input screen appears. Use the arrow keys to enter a code of at least 5 presses (combination of ▲▼◀▶). Confirm the password. The projector will ask for this code at each power-on.
How to correct keystone distortion?
Press the Keystone button on the remote control. Use the ▲▼ arrows for vertical correction (±30°) and ◀▶ for horizontal correction (±25°). You can also access the OSD menu: Settings 1 > Keystone.
How to use the projector in 3D mode?
Connect a 3D source (Blu-ray player, PC). Enable the 3D function in the OSD menu: Settings 1 > Advanced 1 > 3D Settings. Select the 3D mode (DLP-Link or IR) and format (frame sequential, top/bottom, etc.). Wear compatible 3D glasses. For IR glasses, connect the USB emitter.
How to adjust the lens shift?
Loosen the lens lock screw. Use the vertical shift wheel (range +55% to -15%) and horizontal shift wheel (range ±5%) located on the projector. After adjustment, tighten the screw to lock the position.
What to do if the power LED blinks red?
A red blink indicates an error. Refer to the error table in the manual. For example, 5 blinks mean a lamp problem. Unplug the projector, wait one minute, then plug it back in. If the problem persists, contact a technician.
How to connect the projector to a LAN network?
Connect an RJ45 cable between the projector and the network. In the OSD menu, go to Settings 2 > Advanced 1 > Network. Set DHCP to Off, then manually enter the IP address, mask, gateway, and DNS. Press Apply to confirm. You can then control the projector via a web browser.
How to reset to factory settings?
In the OSD menu, go to Settings 2 > Total Reset. Press Enter to confirm. This resets all settings except the lamp counter, security lock, and network settings.
