USER MANUAL Slimforce DD8538 MOULINEX
- Please read the instructions for use carefully before using your appliance for the first time and retain them for future reference: the manufacturer cannot accept any liability for non compliant appliance use.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged. - Always disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply when it is unattended and before assembling, dismantling or cleaning it. Do not allow children to use the appliance without supervision.
- This device should not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
- The blades are extremely sharp: handle them with care so as not to do yourself any harm when you are emptying the bowl, when assembling/dismantling the blades on the bowl and during cleaning.
- Remember: you may injure yourself if you use the appliance incorrectly.
- Do not touch any moving parts (blades…). Fig. 1
- Do not allow your hair, scarves, ties etc. to hang over the bowl when the appliance is in use.
- Never use this appliance for mixing any items other than food ingredients.
- This appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or whose experience or knowledge is not sufficient, provided they are supervised or have received instruction to use the device safely and understand the dangers.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
- Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.

- It is not intended to be used in the following applications, and the guarantee will not apply for: - staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; - farm houses; - by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; - bed and breakfast type environments.
- Do not use your appliance if it does not operate correctly, if it has been damaged or if the power cord or plug is damaged. To maintain safety, these parts must be replaced by an Approved Service Centre.
- All maintenance, other than cleaning and everyday upkeep by the customer, must be performed by an authorised service centre.
- For your safety, only use accessories and spare parts that are approved for your appliance and which are sold at authorized service centres.
- Do not leave the power cord within the reach of, close to or in contact with sources of heat or sharp edges.
- This appliance is designed to function on AC current only. Before using it for the first time, check that your mains supply voltage matches that indicated on the appliance data plate.
- Any connection error will invalidate your guarantee.
- Given the diverse standards in effect, if the appliance is used in a country other than that in which it is purchased, have it checked by an Approved Service Centre.
- Do not use an extension lead. If you accept liability for doing so, only use an extension lead which is in good condition, has a plug with an earth connection and is suited to the power rating of the appliance.
- Please remember to disconnect the appliance from the power supply when it is left unattended and before inserting or removing the accessories or before cleaning it. Never unplug the appliance by pulling on the power cord.
- For your safety, this appliance complies with applicable standards and regulations: Low Voltage Directive, Electromagnetic compatibility, Environment, Materials in contact with food articles.• If your appliance "jams" during processing, switch it off and check that the accessory used is not overloaded with ingredients. Carefully remove the ingredients obstructing the blades.
- Your appliance is equipped with a device to protect against overheating. If your appliance overheats, it will switch itself off. Leave it to cool down for about 20 minutes then start using it again.
- Before using your appliance for the first time, clean the accessories using warm water and washing-up liquid. Rinse and dry them carefully.
- Ensure that your work top is stable and dry.
- Place the ingredients in a container that is tall enough to avoid splashing.
- Do not fill the jug (D) to more than 500 ml (18 fl oz) to avoid splashing.
- Do not operate the mixing foot (C) at turbo speed for more than 20 seconds.
- Mixer foot: FIG 2 & 3 - Screw the blender foot (C) onto the motor unit (A), and ensure that the foot is screwed on completely before plugging in the appliance. FIG 2. - Insert the blender foot (C) halfway down into the container FIG 3 and press the speed start button (B1 or B2). The preparation must at least cover the hand blender head to ensure efficient operation of the appliance. IMPORTANT: Do not operate the appliance when empty. - Before mixing hot preparations, remove the container from the heat source. For best results, there is no need to move the mixer foot around in the preparation. Instead insert the foot in the centre of the container with the blender head submerged halfway down in the food. - For stringy ingredients (leeks, celery, etc.), clean the foot regularly during the preparation, ensuring that you follow the safety instructions for dismantling and cleaning the appliance. - When making fruit-based preparations, slice the fruit and remove the cores and any stones beforehand. - Do not operate the appliance to prepare hard ingredients (sugar, chocolate, coffee, ice-cubes).
EN16 - Plug in the motor unit (A) and press the speed start button (B1 or B2) and process food. - Remove the motor unit (A) then the lid (E4) then the inner cover (E3). - Remove the blades (E2), holding it by its plastic part. - After use, remove the ingredients. - Do not operate this accessory when empty.
- 500 ml maxi chopper (depending on model): Fig F & 5 - Place the bowl (F1) on the anti-slip ring (F4). - Fit the blades (F2) onto the drive pin of the bowl (F1). - Place the ingredients in the bowl (F1) then fit the cover (F3). - Fit the motor unit (A) onto the cover (F3). - Plug in the motor unit (A) and press the speed start button (B1 or B2). - Remove the motor unit (A) then the cover (F3). - Remove the blades (F2) holding it by its plastic part. - After use, remove the ingredients. - Do not operate this accessory when empty.
- Multi-wire whisk (depending on model): Fig G & 6 - Fit the multi-wire whisk (G2) onto the reducer (G1). - Fit the reducer (G1) onto the motor unit (A). - Turn until it is locked in place. - After use, unscrew the reducer (G1) and remove the whisk (G2). - Do not operate the multi-wire whisk at turbo speed for more than 3 minutes. CLEANING
- All of the parts and accessories of your mixer can be cleaned in the dishwasher except for the motor unit (A) and the reducers (E4, F3, G1), they can only be cleaned with a damp cloth.
- Unplug the appliance from the electrical power supply before cleaning.
- Do not use abrasive scourers or objects containing metal parts.
- Do not immerse the motor unit (A) in water or any other liquid. Wipe it clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
- If your accessories are discoloured by food (carrots, oranges, etc.) rub them with a cloth dipped in cooking oil and then clean them as usual. Some staining may occur over time but this will not affect the performance of the appliance.
- Handle the blades with care; they are extremely sharp. RECIPES Mixer foot (parts A, B, C, D)• Mayonnaise: Place 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon mild mustard, 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar, salt, pepper, 250 ml olive or sunflower oil in a 0.8L jug. Mix for 15 seconds. TURBO speed. Tip: All the ingredients should be at room temperature. Mini chopper 150mL (depending on model) FIG E:

- For the 700W version 70 g of beef, sinew and gristle removed, cut into 1-cm cubes processed in 3 seconds at TURBO speed.
- For the 600W version: 55 g of beef, sinew and gristle removed, cut into 1-cm cubes processed in 4 seconds at TURBO speed. Multi-wire whisk (depending on model) Fig. G: Whisked egg whites. 4 egg whites in 3 minutes. TURBO speed. 500 ml maxi chopper (depending on model) FIG F:
- With this accessory, you can mince or chop: Garlic, Fresh herbs, Onions. 200 g of raw beef, sinew and gristle removed, cut into 1-cm cubes processed in 10 seconds at TURBO speed. IF YOUR APPLIANCE WILL NOT WORK, WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
- Check: That your appliance is plugged in correctly to the mains. That the power cord is in good condition. Your appliance is equipped with a device to protect against overheating.
