  • The electrical circuit of the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect the device to a wall outlet; do not use any extension cords or power strips.

Temperature set at approx.50°C

Temperature set at approx. 250 °C- 25 -

  • Preheat ceran grill plate for approx. 3 minutes before each use.
  • During the preheating phase a red heating light, located near temperature adjustment knob, turns on. When the device reaches the set temperature level, light goes off and turns on again whenever cooking plate reheats.
  • Place food directly on the cooking plate.

Further indications for the preparation of food Ceran cooking plate is designed for preparation of food directly on the heating plate with a very low amount of fat used. It is a healthy and careful way of preparation of meat, fish and vegetables. It also saves time and energy, and limits dishwashing to minimum.

  • Cooking plate is marked with a white line. The temperature is spread evenly within this area.
  • Before putting any food on the cooking plate, apply some oil to its surface. High smoke point oils are to be used ideally, such as sunflower or canola oils.
  • Meat, bacon, etc. require just a little drop of oil, because they already contain fat; During preparation of fish or vegetables you may apply some more oil to the cooking plate. Oil prevents burning and adhesion of food to the surface of the heating plate.
  • After grilling remove any food remains, as well as the oil, into the drip tray by using the plate scraper.
  • Check and empty the drip tray regularly. It should be cleaned whenever required and reattached to the device. CAUTION! Never use the device without the drip tray.
  • So as not to mix tastes or aromas of one dish with another, remove food remains from the cooking plate before preparing new dish.
  • Prepare food in the following sequence: vegetables after a steak or fish.- 26 -
  • Use aluminum foil for dishes that are to be simmered or when we want to preserve particular aromas or juices.
  • Avoid using sugar or sweetened beverages for grilling. If a dish requires sugar, wrape the dish in aluminum foil. NOTE! If sugar, milk or any kind of syrup is spillt over the cooking plate, remove it carefully with a ceran plate scraper when the plate is still hot: if allowed to cool down, food remains (especially sugar or syrup) are very difficult to clean.
  • You can choose any preferred grill accessories in order to prepare and move food around on the plate (forks, tongs, etc.) but plastic kitchen utensils must not be used.
  • Never cut the dishes with a knife directly on the cooking plate, you may damage the surface of the plate.
  • You can decrease the temperature and use ceran grill plate to keep prepared dishes heated for prolonged time.
  • Turn the device off with the temperature adjustment knob and unplug it (remove the plug!), if the device is not to be used again.
