The lime scale filter has to be cleaned regularly. Please empty the kettle completely and allow it to cool off. Carefully remove the filter from the pour spout. Clean the filter carefully with a soft brush under running water. You can also place the filter in a bowl with a descaling solution. Then rinse the filter with clear water and insert it in the pour spout.
-
Use off-the-shelf descaling products for electronic kettles and comply with the manufacturer's instructions. To descale, fill the kettle half full, maximum, otherwise the liquid can boil over and can cause severe injuries.
- Heat the liquid (do not boil!) and allow it to sit for some time in the electronic kettle.
- Pour the descaling solution out of the kettle.
- Then fill it with fresh water and bring to a boil. Pour this water out as well. Then rinse out the kettle at least twice with clean water.
