How to configure the TV tuner on the ASUS ET2020AGTK?

Open the ArcSoft TV 5.0 application from the Desktop or via search. The configuration wizard starts automatically. Select your country, the TV tuner card, the TV type (cable or antenna), then click Scan to detect channels.

Can I record a TV program?

Yes, you can schedule a recording from the Scheduling menu of the ArcSoft TV application. Click Add, configure the options (channel, date, time) and confirm. The computer must remain on for the recording.

How to use the electronic program guide?

The guide is available only with a digital TV tuner. Open ArcSoft TV and click the Guide icon or use the remote control. It displays program schedules for each channel.

What to do if the remote control does not work?

Check the batteries, the distance (max 5 m), and that no obstacle blocks the infrared sensor on the computer. If the problem persists, restart the device.

How to switch between digital and analog TV?

Press the TV/AV button in the ArcSoft TV interface. This option is available only if your model has both types of tuner.

Can I use Windows Media Center with this PC?

Yes, if your model has Windows 8 Media Center. You can purchase the Media Center Pack to activate dedicated features. The remote control has specific buttons (Live TV, Guide, etc.).

How to take a screenshot of a TV program?

During playback, click the Camera icon in the on-screen controls of ArcSoft TV, or press the corresponding button on the remote control.

Why does ArcSoft TV not detect any channels?

Make sure a TV cable (antenna or cable) is properly connected to the RF IN port. Restart the scan in the configuration wizard. If nothing changes, check that the tuner card is enabled in Device Manager.

Before launching your TV Tuner application, check if your digital TV-in or analog TV-in cable is connected.

Launching your TV Tuner Application

To launch ArcSoft TV 5.0 in Windows® 8, do one of the following:

From the Windows desktop, click the ArcSoft TV 5.0 icon.

NOTE: The ArcSoft TV desktop shortcut icon is not available for AIO ET2300.

• Click to launch the search screen for applications. Type "ArcSoft" in the search field and click the ArcSoft TV icon from the search results.

Setting up your TV Tuner Application

To set up ArcSoft TV 5.0:

1. On the main menu, click Live TV.

1. The Setup Wizard will launch to guide you through setting up your TV Tuner application. Select your country or region and click Next to continue.

1. The Setup Wizard will attempt to detect the installed TV Tuner device. Select the appropriate TV tuner card which came with your All-in-One PC.
2. Select the type of television service you use.
3. Select Cable TV for cable television.
4. Select Antenna TV for television received via an antenna.
5. Click Scan to begin scanning for available channels.
6. If your All-in-One PC came with both an analog and digital TV tuner, the Setup Wizard will prompt you to set up your second TV tuner.
7. Select Yes to set up the second TV Tuner.
8. Select No to complete the Setup Wizard.

1. Click Finish to complete the Setup Wizard.

Scheduling recordings of TV broadcasts

To schedule recordings of TV broadcasts:

1. On the main menu, click Schedule.

1. On the left panel, click Add.
2. Configure the following options:

Program Name - Channel Frequency - Start Date/Time - Specify the date/time of recording. Duration - Specify length of recording. - Shut down the computer when finished recording

1. Click Done to save settings and schedule recording.

NOTE: The All-in-One PC needs to be powered on to automatically record TV broadcasts.

1. To schedule additional recordings, repeat steps 1-4.

NOTE: The number of recordings you can schedule is limited by the available storage on your All-in-One PC.

Using the Entertainment Program Guide (EPG)

The EPG displays the time and TV programs playing on a specified channel and date.

NOTE: EPG is only available for All-in-One PCs with a digital TV tuner.

Using the Remote Control

Playback Buttons

Play

Starts playing media. If playback is paused, pressing this button begins playback from the current position.

Pause

Pauses media playback at the current position.

Stop

Stops playing media at the current position.

Record

Record the TV show to disk. If pressed while Live TV is on, records the current show. If pressed from the EPG screen, records a TV show or TV series to disk.

Fast Forward

Speeds up the playback of the media file to the first forward value (3X).

Rewind

Reverses direction of playback and speeds up the time base to the first rewind value (3X).

Skip Forward

Skipping forward one increment when this button is pressed.

Skip Back

Skipping backward one increment when this button is pressed.

Navigation Keys

Press the up/down keys to move through the menu bar in a submenu.

Press the up/down keys to decrease/increase a numerical value.

Press the left/right keys to move through the main menus in the Home screen.

Press the left/right keys to move through the items in a submenu.

Press OK to confirm the selection.

Start*

Takes the user to the Windows Media Center Start menu.

Shows the main page for radio in Windows Media Center.

1. Press the Live TV button.

1. The installation wizard will try to detect the installed TV tuner. Select the TV tuner that comes with your all-in-one computer.
2. Select the type of signal used.

Select Cable TV for cable television. Select Antenna TV for a signal received through an antenna.

1. Press Scan for incoming channels.
2. If your computer is supplied with analog or digital TV tuners, the setup wizard will prompt you to configure the second TV tuner.

Select the settings for the second TV tuner. Do not complete the setup wizard.

1. Press Finish to close the wizard.

Scheduling TV recordings

To schedule a recording:

1. In the main menu, press Schedule.

1. On the left panel, press Add.
2. Scan the following options:

Program name - Channel - Frequency - Date / Start time - Specify the date/time of the recording. - Duration - Specify the recording duration. - Shut down the computer after the recording is finished.

1. The settings are saved automatically.

NOTE: The laptop must be turned on for automatic transmission.

5. To schedule another recording, repeat steps 1~4

NOTE: The number of scheduled recordings is limited by the available space on the laptop.
