USER MANUAL Delhi 30985 PALSON

In accordance with safety regulations, the appliance should only be connected to a grounded power outlet. SAFETY CAUTIONS - Do not leave the appliance unattended while connected to the power outlet. Always unplug the appliance when leaving the room, even if for a short period of time. - Do not use the appliance if the power cord shows signs of wear or if the appliance has fallen on the floor or suffered damage. In order to prevent the risk of electric shocks, do not attempt to dismantle the product, instead, take it to a technical support service authorised for examination and repairs. Incorrect assembly of the appliance may cause electric shocks during use. - The appliance should only be used and stored on sturdy, stable surfaces. - In order to avoid safety hazards, repairs to the appliance or the replacement of the power cord should only be performed by an authorised technical support service. - Before cleaning the appliance, ensure that it has been unplugged from the power outlet and is completely cool. - In order to avoid the risk of electric shocks, do not clean the appliance with water or immerse it in water. - The appliance is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, unless they have been given supervision or instruction. - Children should always be supervised when using the appliance to ensure they do not play with it. - Children should not attempt to clean or maintain the appliance unless supervised by an adult. - Ensure that children do not touch the appliance when hot and that they are not able to remove the cord at any time. - Caution: the materials used to package this appliance may be dangerous. CLEANING THE CHAPATI MAKER

- When unplugging from the power outlet, do not pull on the power cord, instead hold the plug firmly with one hand and pull it out while holding on to the power outlet with the other hand. - No responsibility will be accepted for damages resulting from inappropriate use or failure to follow these instructions. - This appliance is intended for domestic use only. TIPS FOR USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME - Place the appliance on a level, heat-resistant surface able to withstand splashes. Do not place on any surface that may become hot, such as hotplates or the flame on a gas cooker. - To avoid damaging the non-stick coating on the plates, only use heat-resistant wooden or plastic utensils for removing cooked items. - Never use abrasive cleaning products, oven cleaners or utensils when cleaning the appliance so the non-stick coating does not become damaged. - The appliance is equipped with non-slip rubber feet. Some products may contain substances which corrode the rubber feet, which may then alter the colour of the surface below. If necessary, place a protective layer under the appliance in order to protect the surface. - Carefully remove all packaging and materials. - Clean all surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water. - To remove residue from the hotplates, allow the appliance to cool before carefully cleaning it. NOTE: An odour may be observed before using the appliance for the first time. This is normal and should disappear after one or two uses.

COOKING WITH THE CHAPATI MAKER

The appliance may be used in two different positions: - Closing the top cover (7) cooks items from above and below at the same time. - Leaving the top cover (7) open provides a larger cooking surface, but only cooks items from below, meaning they may require flipping. 30985_manual delhi.indd 6 27/9/16 18:207 Before preheating the hotplate (6), apply a light coat of vegetable oil onto the plate or mist it with cooking oil spray.

HOTPLATE The hotplate (6) should be cleaned before and after each use. To clean it, lightly coat the hotplate with solid vegetable shortening. To clean this high-quality, non-stick hotplate (6), use only plastic, nylon or wooden utensils. Carefully follow manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning. ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY DISPOSAL In case of breakage, do not dispose of the appliance with normal domestic waste.
