USER MANUAL BG115597.3 Emerio

Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to someone else make sure to also include this manual.

In case of damage caused by user failing to follow the instructions in this manual the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  2. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
  4. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  5. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  25. Burn hazard! Be careful when handling hot oil and fat. Beware of spitting oil and hot steam!

  26. Do not move the appliance during use.
  27. Due to safety reasons, if the control unit is removed from the body of the appliance, the barbecue must not be switched on.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Remove all packaging.
  2. Clean the appliance, as described in Cleaning and Maintenance.
  3. Switch the barbecue on for 5 minutes without food on it before first use, so that possible production residues are removed. During that time, a smell might occur but this is not a defect of the appliance.

ASSEMBLY:

  1. Take the long screw (a), control box base, short screws (b) and feet out from the plastic bag provided.
  2. Use the long screw (a) to fix the control box base to the main body. (Fig. A)
  3. Turn the main body upside down, use 3 short screws (b) to fix the three feet to the main body. (Fig B)

OPERATION

  1. Place the drip tray to the main body. Three holes (c) of the drip tray shall be align with three fixed supports. (Fig C).

  2. Fill the drip tray with cold water. Add water between MIN 0.3L and MAX 0.8L.
    During use the water in the drip tray will evaporate and should be refilled. Otherwise the product will get too hot.
    Note: Make sure you do not drip water on to the element.

  3. Place the heating element with the control box onto the drip tray and locate on the control box base. Make sure the vertical bar (d) in the control box base is inserted into the bottom hole (e) of the control box, so that the safety switch is activated (Fig. D). Otherwise, the appliance cannot be switched on.
  4. Place the barbecue grill onto the drip tray. Three grill stands (f) shall be inserted into three holes (c) of the drip tray, together with three fixed supports. (Fig. E) Attention! The barbecue grill must not touch the heating element under any circumstances.
  5. Connect the power plug into a suitable outlet.
  6. The indicator light will illuminate to indicate the heating element is heating up.
  7. Place your food on the barbecue grill for grilling. Deep frozen food should be defrosted completely before barbecuing.
  8. To grill food evenly, it should be turned several times during the barbecue. The barbecuing time depends on the food to be grilled.
  9. Caution! To avoid a heat accumulation, do not place aluminum foil or other barbecue accessories on the barbecue grill.
  10. During use the water in the drip tray will evaporate and should be refilled. Otherwise the product will get too hot.

Note: Make sure you do not drip water on to the element.

  1. To turn off the appliance, unplug the power cord from outlet.
  2. The barbecue grill, the heating element and the control box and other parts must be removed only after the appliance has cooled down completely.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before cleaning, unplug and allow the appliance to cool down.
  • Never immerse the heating element and the control box into water or other liquid. Clean them with a clean dry cloth only.
    The other barbecue components can be cleaned with warm water and mild detergent.
  • Let the appliance dry completely before it is reconnected to the supply.
  • Use no sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
