How to assemble the device?

Attach the control box base to the main housing with the provided long screw. Turn the device over and screw the three legs with the short screws. Place the drip tray into the main housing, then the heating element with the control box, making sure to insert the vertical bar into the lower hole to activate the safety switch. Finally, place the grid on the drip tray, aligning the supports.

How much water should I put in the tray?

Fill the drip tray with cold water. The level should be between 0.3 L minimum and 0.8 L maximum. During use, water evaporates, so it must be topped up regularly to avoid overheating.

What to do if the device does not turn on?

Check that the control box is correctly positioned on its base: the vertical bar of the base must be inserted into the lower hole of the box to activate the safety switch. If not, the device cannot turn on. Also make sure the plug is properly inserted and the socket works.

How to clean the grid and drip tray?

Before cleaning, unplug the device and wait for it to cool down completely. The grid, drip tray and other parts can be washed with a mixture of hot water and mild detergent. Do not use sharp utensils or abrasive products. Never immerse the heating element or control box; clean them with a clean, dry cloth.

Can I use charcoal with this device?

No, it is strictly forbidden to use charcoal or any similar fuel. This device operates only on electricity. Using charcoal poses a risk of fire and burns.

Can children use this device?

The device can be used by children aged 8 years and older, under supervision and after receiving instructions on safe use. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by children under 8 without supervision.

How to turn off the device?

To turn off the device, simply disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet. Wait for the device to cool down completely before removing the grid, heating element or control box.

Can I cook frozen food?

Yes, but frozen food must be fully thawed before being placed on the grid for even cooking. Do not place frozen food directly on the grid.

What to do if the power cord is damaged?

If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person to avoid any hazard. Do not use the device with a damaged cord.

Does the device heat up quickly?

Yes, the indicator light turns on to show that the heating element is heating. The device quickly reaches cooking temperature. Be careful as surfaces become very hot. Never touch the surface during use.

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
2. Children shall not play with the appliance.
3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.

27. Due to safety reasons, if the control unit is removed from the body of the appliance, the barbecue must not be switched on.

BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Remove all packaging.
2. Clean the appliance, as described in Cleaning and Maintenance.
3. Switch the barbecue on for 5 minutes without food on it before first use, so that possible production residues are removed. During that time, a smell might occur but this is not a defect of the appliance.

ASSEMBLY:

1. Take the long screw (a), control box base, short screws (b) and feet out from the plastic bag provided.
2. Use the long screw (a) to fix the control box base to the main body. (Fig. A)
3. Turn the main body upside down, use 3 short screws (b) to fix the three feet to the main body. (Fig B)

OPERATION

1. Place the drip tray to the main body. Three holes (c) of the drip tray shall be align with three fixed supports. (Fig C).

2. Fill the drip tray with cold water. Add water between MIN 0.3L and MAX 0.8L.
   During use the water in the drip tray will evaporate and should be refilled. Otherwise the product will get too hot.
   Note: Make sure you do not drip water on to the element.

3. Place the heating element with the control box onto the drip tray and locate on the control box base. Make sure the vertical bar (d) in the control box base is inserted into the bottom hole (e) of the control box, so that the safety switch is activated (Fig. D). Otherwise, the appliance cannot be switched on.
4. Place the barbecue grill onto the drip tray. Three grill stands (f) shall be inserted into three holes (c) of the drip tray, together with three fixed supports. (Fig. E) Attention! The barbecue grill must not touch the heating element under any circumstances.
5. Connect the power plug into a suitable outlet.
6. The indicator light will illuminate to indicate the heating element is heating up.
7. Place your food on the barbecue grill for grilling. Deep frozen food should be defrosted completely before barbecuing.
8. To grill food evenly, it should be turned several times during the barbecue. The barbecuing time depends on the food to be grilled.
9. Caution! To avoid a heat accumulation, do not place aluminum foil or other barbecue accessories on the barbecue grill.
10. During use the water in the drip tray will evaporate and should be refilled. Otherwise the product will get too hot.

Note: Make sure you do not drip water on to the element.

1. To turn off the appliance, unplug the power cord from outlet.
2. The barbecue grill, the heating element and the control box and other parts must be removed only after the appliance has cooled down completely.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Before cleaning, unplug and allow the appliance to cool down.
• Never immerse the heating element and the control box into water or other liquid. Clean them with a clean dry cloth only.
  The other barbecue components can be cleaned with warm water and mild detergent.
• Let the appliance dry completely before it is reconnected to the supply.
• Use no sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
