How to turn on the hood?

Press the First speed key (key 3). A second press turns off the appliance.

How to adjust the suction speed?

Use keys 3 (speed 1), 4 (speed 2), 5 (speed 3), or 6 (max speed). Max speed automatically returns to previous setting after 6 minutes.

What does the flashing filter indicator mean?

If the Filter notification indicator flashes for 30 seconds, it means the grease filter needs cleaning (steady light) or the charcoal filter needs replacing/cleaning (flashing).

How to clean the grease filters?

Press the clamp lever under the hood, tilt the filter downwards and remove it. Wash it by hand with a mild detergent or in the dishwasher (short cycle, low temperature). Discoloration is normal.

When should the charcoal filter be replaced?

Every 4 to 6 months, or more often with heavy use. The charcoal filter is not washable and must be replaced.

How does the Hob²Hood function work?

It automatically connects the hood to a compatible hob via infrared. The speed adjusts automatically based on temperature. You can also control it manually from the hob.

Can I use a remote control?

Yes, you can purchase an optional remote control. The connection is enabled by default. To enable/disable, turn off the hood and press and hold the speed 1 key for 3 seconds.

How to reset the filter indicator?

Press the First speed key (key 3) for 3 seconds until the indicator turns off.

What to do if the lighting stops working?

The lighting is an integrated LED bulb that can only be replaced by an authorized technician. Contact customer service.

Is it possible to clean the hood in the dishwasher?

Only the grease filters can go in the dishwasher. The housing and other parts should be cleaned with a soft cloth and non-abrasive detergent.

CONTROL PANEL OVERVIEW

	Function Description
1	Hob 2 Hood Indicator of the function to control hood from hob.
2	Lamp Turns the lights on and off.
3	First speed / Off The motor switches to first speed level. Second press turns off the appliance.
4	Second speed The motor switches to second speed level.
5	Third speed The motor switches to third speed level.
6	Maximum speed The motor switches to maximum speed level.
7	Filter notification Reminds to change or clean the charcoal filter and clean the grease filter.

DAILY USE

USING THE HOOD

Check the recommended speed according to the table below.

	While heating up food, cooking with covered pots.
	While cooking with covered pots on multiple cooking zones or burners, gentle frying.
	While boiling, frying big quantities of food without a lid, cooking on multiple cooking zones or burners.
	While boiling, frying big quantities of food without a lid, big humidity. The hood operates on maximum speed. After 6 minutes the appliance returns to previous setting.

It is recommended to leave the hood operating for approximately 15 minutes after cooking.

To operate the hood:

1. Press the first speed button to switch on the appliance.
2. If needed, press the light button to illuminate the cooking surface.
3. If needed, change the speed by pressing the desired button.

To turn off the appliance, press the first speed button again.

HOB-HOOD FUNCTION

This is an automatic function which connects the hob with a hood. Both the hob and the hood have an infrared signal communicator. The speed of the fan is defined automatically based on the mode setting and the temperature of the hottest cookware on the hob. You can also operate the fan manually using the hob. The function can be activated from the panel of the hob.

FILTER NOTIFICATION

The filter alarm reminds you to change or clean the charcoal filter and clean the grease filter. The filter indicator

turns on for 30 seconds if the grease filter must be cleaned. The filter indicator flashes for

30 seconds if the charcoal filter must be replaced or cleaned.

To reset the function, press the U3 button for 3 seconds.

To activate or deactivate the function:

1. To activate the function, press the button for 3 seconds.

If the function is activated, the indicator U2 flashes twice.

REMOTE CONTROL

The appliance can be controlled with a remote control. Visit your local supplier to purchase the remote control.

The connection is enabled by default.

To connect or disconnect the remote control:

1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Press the button for 3 seconds.

The indicator on the control panel flashes twice if the function is enabled and once if disabled.

NOTES ON CLEANING

Cleaning Agents	Do not use abrasive detergents and brushes.Clean the surface of the appliance with a soft cloth with warm water and a mild detergent.
	After cooking some parts of appliance can get hot. To avoid stains appliance must be cooled down and dried with clean cloth or paper towels.
	Clean stains with a mild detergent.
Keep the hood clean	Clean the appliance and grease filters each month. Clean the interior and grease filters carefully from fat. Fat accumulation or other residue may cause fire.Follow the instructions for cleaning the accessories when filter notification is on.Refer to Filter notification in daily use chapter.
	Grease filters can be washed in a dishwasher.The dishwasher must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. The grease filter may discolour, it has no influence on the performance of the appliance.
Charcoal filter	The time of saturation of the charcoal filter varies depending on the type of cooking and the regularity of cleaning the grease filter. The activated charcoal filter is not washable, cannot be regenerated and must be replaced approximately every 4/6 months of operation, or more frequently for particularly heavy usage.

CLEANING THE GREASE FILTER

Filters are mounted with the use of clips and pins on the opposite side.

To clean the filter:

1. Press the handle of the mounting clip on the filter panel underneath the hood (1).

1. Slightly tilt the front of the filter downwards (2), then pull.

Repeat the first two steps for all filters.

1. Clean the filters using a sponge with non-abrasive detergents or in a dishwasher.

The dishwasher must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. The grease filter may discolor, but this has no influence on the performance of the appliance.

1. To mount the filters back, follow the first two steps in reverse order.

Repeat the steps for all filters if applicable.

REPLACING THE CHARCOAL FILTER (OPTIONAL)

WARNING! The charcoal filter is non-washable!

To replace the filter:

1. Remove the grease filters from the appliance. Refer to "Cleaning the grease filter" in this chapter.
2. Press the front edge in the slot towards the bottom part of the filter. Slightly tilt the front of the filter downwards.
