• Do not touch the surfaces or heating plate of the kettle before it gets cool.

• Avoid spillage on the connector of the appliance.

1.2 Compliance with the WEEE

Directive and Disposing of the Waste Product: This product complies with EU WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU). This product bears a classification symbol for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).This symbol indicates that this product shall not be disposed with other household wastes at the end of its service life. Used device must be returned to offical collection point for recycling of electrical and electronic devices. To find these collection systems please contact to your local authorities or retailer where the product was puchased. Each household performs important role in recovering and recycling of old appliance. Appropriate disposal of used appliance helps prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health.

1.3 Compliance with RoHS

Directive The product you have purchased complies with EU RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU). It does not contain harmful and prohibited materials specified in the Directive.

1.4 Package information

Packaging materials of the product are manufactured from recyclable materials in accordance with our National Environment Regulations. Do not dispose of the packaging materials together with the domestic or other wastes. Do not place the water tank (9) on the base (7) while filling it with water. Lid (3) should always be closed during the boiling process; otherwise the kettle will not switch off automatically.

WARNING: Do not open the lid (3) as hot water could splash out. Make sure that no water splashes onto the base (7).

Let the kettle cool down between each heating process.Hints and Tips • The kettle is equipped with a water filter which filters out limestone and other residues when the water is being poured out. • Use softened or filtered water to prevent lime build-up.12 / EN Kettle / User Manual

3.1 Cleaning and care

WARNING: Never use petrol solvents, abrasive cleaners, metal objects or hard brushes to clean the appliance.

WARNING: Never put the appliance, base (7) or power cord in water or any other liquid.

3.2 Descaling the kettle

Descaling extends the life of your kettle. Descaling period depends on the water hardness of your area.1. Fill the heater with water up to the maximum level and boil. 2. After the heater is switched off, unplug the appliance. 3. Add 2 cups of white vinegar or 1 tablespoon of citric acid into the boiled water. 4. Keep the solution in the heater for a few hours. 5. Then pour it and rinse the inner part of the heater thoroughly. 6. Fill the heater with clean water and boil it. 7. Then empty the heater and rinse with water again.

• If you do not plan to use the appliance for a long period of time, please store it carefully. • Make sure the appliance is unplugged, cooled down and completely dry. • Store the appliance in a cool, dry place. • Make sure the appliance is kept out of the reach of children. • Wind up the power cord around the cable coil (8) on the bottom of the base (7).
