THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE! PLEASE KEEP THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE IN A SAFE PLACE! CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction con- cerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Never use the device without the lint container or the glide piece in place. Do not touch the cutting blade while using the lint remover! Never use it if the cutting blade is damaged. Never put any strong pressure onto the cutting blade while in use. Never recharge, short-circuit and / or open non-rechargeable batteries. Overheat- ing, fire or destruction of the batteries might result. Never throw batteries into fire or water. The batteries might explode. RISK OF EXPLOSION! The batter- ies may explode if they have been improperly replaced. Replace exhausted batteries with 2 new batteries of the same type (1.5V AA). Switch the device to the “OFF” position before inserting the batteries. Use only the recommended battery type. Insert the batteries correctly, observing the correct polarity (+ and –). Check the batteries regularly for to see if they are leaking. If the above instructions are not complied with, the batteries may discharge themselves beyond their end voltage. There is then a danger of leak- ing. Remove battery if device is not used for long periods. Do not short-circuit supply terminals under any circumstances. Inserting the batteries To insert or replace the batteries, follow the procedure described in figures B and C. Preparing for use Put the garment smoothly onto an even and clean surface. CAUTION! The lint remover may damage textured or very soft fabrics such as Angora. Before use, test the device and the different height settings on an inconspicuous area in order to prevent damage. Do not oil or grease the cutting blade! Your clothes could get dirty! Switch the device on by sliding the I-/II -/ OFF switch

to position “I” or “II” Guide the glide piece

over the surface of the garment using repeated, light, circular movements. Select between different height settings by turn- ing the glide piece

towards the left or right. You may select the settings H (high), M (middle) and L (low). Cleaning Never put the device in water for cleaning. Always switch off the device before cleaning it, then open the battery compartment

cover. Remove the batteries

from the battery com- partment to prevent accidentally switching the device on. Then pull the protective cover

off of the device. ATTENTION: When removing lint remains, be careful not to damage the cutting blade

should be emptied regularly!

1. Lint container: Pull off the lint container and

empty it (figures E and F). The lint container should never be more than 3 / 4 full.

2. Cutting blade: Carefully remove the blade

attachment. To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority. Faulty or used batteries must be recycled in accord- ance with Directive 2006 / 66 / EC. Please return the batteries and / or the device to the available collec- tion points.
