Our products are developed to meet the highest standards in quality, functionality and design. We hope you will enjoy using your new PALSON SAPORE PLUS electric pressure cooker.

IMPORTANT SAFETY ADVICE

  1. Read all the instructions carefully before using the electric pressure cooker.
  2. Never touch the hot surfaces of the pressure cooker. Use the handles only.
  3. This product should not be used by children or by any other individuals without help or supervision if their physical, sensory or mental state prevents them from using it safely. Children should not be allowed to play with this product.
  4. Never open the lid whilst the pressure cooker is operating. Do not open the pressure cooker until all the steam has been released through the valve. Never force the lid open; any pressure within the unit could be dangerous.
  5. Never place the pressure cooker on a cooker hob or in a heated oven.
  6. Be very careful when moving the pressure cooker if it contains hot liquid or food.
  7. Never use the pressure cooker for anything other than its intended purpose.
  8. This appliance cooks under pressure. Improper use may lead to burns and scalding. Ensure the pressure cooker is correctly closed before switching it on.
  9. Do not load the unit with food above the line marked 3/5. When cooking food that increases in volume, such as dried vegetables, legumes and cereals, never fill the pressure cooker with food more than 1/2 full, since overfilling may obstruct the pressure regulator value. This in turn could lead to excessive pressure building up and even cause an explosion.
  10. To avoid the risk of electric shock, keep the power cord, the plug and the outer body of the cooker away from water and other liquids.
  11. Unplug the pressure cooker when it is not in use and before cleaning. Allow the cooker to cool down before adding or removing any components.
  12. If the power cable is damaged, it should immediately be replaced by the manufacturer, their authorised technical service or by a qualified technician, in order to avoid any accidents.
  13. Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table or counter, or to come into contact with hot surfaces.
  14. The use of accessories not specifically recommended by PALSON may damage the pressure cooker.
  15. Do not use the pressure cooker outdoors.
  16. Do not use the pressure cooker under hanging wall units as steam from the pressure release may damage them.
  17. Always attach the power cord to the appliance first, before plugging it into the wall socket.
  18. Bear in mind that certain foods such as apple sauce, cranberries, pearl barley, oatmeal and other cereals can produce foam and splutter, clogging up the pressure release valve (steam vent). For this reason, these foods should not be cooked in a pressure cooker.
  19. Always check that the pressure release device is not clogged up before using the pressure cooker.
  20. The appliance is designed for household and similar use, including kitchen areas in offices and other working environments, farmhouses, by clients in hotels and motels, etc.

KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN A SAFE PLACE - FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY INTRODUCTION

You are about to experience a better, quicker and healthier way of cooking.

Your PALSON electric pressure cooker locks in steam to cook hotter and faster, and also seals in nutrients. Cook using less water and discover truly sensational textures and flavours.

BEFORE USING THE PRESSURE COOKER FOR THE FIRST TIME

Carefully unpack the pressure cooker, removing all packaging and labels.

Before discarding or recycling the packaging, ensure that no parts are missing. If you like, you can keep the box and the packaging materials so that they can be reused.

Before using the electric pressure cooker for the first time, use a damp cloth to remove any dust that may have accumulated during transport. Clean the lid and the removable cooking pot thoroughly.

The cooking pot (5) can be washed in a dishwasher or in warm, soapy water.

Rinse the pot with clean water or wipe with a cloth and leave to dry before placing it in the pressure cooker.

USING YOUR PRESSURE COOKER

  1. Remove the lid. Grasp the handle securely and then turn it clockwise into position. Then pull the handle up. (See Figures 1 and 2).
  2. Remove the cooking pot. Add food and the required amount of cooking liquid to the pot. The maximum level of the food and liquid should not exceed 4/5 of the pot. For foods that increase in volume, the maximum capacity is 3/5 of the pot including the cooking liquid. The minimum capacity is 1/5 of the pot. (See Figures 3, 4 and 5).
  3. Wipe the pressure cooker housing with a dry cloth and check there is nothing inside. Before putting food in the pot, check there is nothing between the cooking pot and the heating plate. Rotate the cooking pot to the left and the right in order to check that it is in the correct position. (See Figure 6).
  4. Programming product data and how to get started (See the "PROGRAMMING YOUR PRESSURE COOKER" section). Plug in the appliance. The control panel light will come on. Next, select one of the specific function buttons.
  5. Close the lid as follows. Check that the rubber sealing ring and the anti-blockage cover are correctly in place. (See Figures 11, 12 and 13). Holding the lid handle, place the lid on top of the pressure cooker and turn it anticlockwise until you hear a "click". This means the lid is in place. (See Figures 7 and 8).
  6. Turn the pressure regulator valve until it reaches the sealed position. (See Figure 9).
  7. Once the "MANT.CALIENTE/KEEP WARM" indicator light is illuminated, turn the pressure regulator valve to the "VENT" (Ventilation) position and steam will be released from the pressure cooker. Wait until the float valve drops and no more steam is escaping before opening the lid. Keep well away from the steam and wait until the float value has dropped and no more steam is coming out; it is then safe to open the lid and remove the food. (See Figure 10).

Timer function: To activate the delay-start setting timer, press the "Timer" button once. The pressure cooker will delay cooking for 30 minutes. If you want to delay the start of cooking by 2 hours, press the timer 4 times (the screen will display 2:00). At the end of all the programmes, the appliance will make a beeping sound to indicate that cooking is complete. When a function or programme has been selected, whilst the pressure cooker is heating up, the "CALENTANDO/HEATING" indicator light will be illuminated.

Programming your Pressure Cooker

  • Open the lid of the pressure cooker.
  • Place the food in the cooking pot, following the recipe, then select the cooking function and set the time required for cooking.
  • Close the pressure cooker. The cooking time can be programmed up to 24 hours in advance using the timer key.
  • If you want to increase or decrease the cooking time using the "Programme" key, there are up to 5 different programmes within each function (except "Cake", which has a single 30-minute programme).
  • Before opening the lid, make sure the float valve has dropped and that no steam is escaping from the pressure regulator valve. Once these two points have been checked, the Sapore Plus pressure cooker lid can be opened.
  • If you make a mistake when selecting a function or programme, press the "MANT. CALIENTE/KEEP WARM/CANCEL" key in order to cancel the selection and start again.
  • Use the "MANT.CALIENTE/KEEP WARM" function to keep the cooked meal at an ideal temperature.
  • When the (CALENTANDO/HEATING) indicator light is illuminated, this means that the pressure cooker is operating.
  • When the (PRESURIZAR/PRESSURIZE) indicator light is illuminated, this means that the cooker is pressurised.
  • At the end of the cooking time indicated on the display, the unit will emit a beeping sound.
