During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty. If your device breaks down within the 2-year warranty period, you can return the device together with your receipt to the shop where you purchased it. The guarantee on accessories and components that are liable to wear-and-tear is only 6 months. The guarantee and responsibility of the supplier and manufacturer lapse automatically in the following cases:
- If the instructions in this manual have not been followed.
- In case of incorrect connection, e.g., electrical voltage that is too high.
- In case of incorrect, rough or abnormal use.
- In case of insucient or incorrect maintenance.
- In case of repairs or alterations to the device by the consumer or non-authorised third parties.
- If the customer used parts or accessories that are not recommended or provided by the supplier / manufacturer. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following:
- Read all instructions carefully. Keep this manual for future reference.
- Make sure all packaging materials and promotional stickers have been removed before using the appliance for the rst time. Make sure children cannot play with the packaging materials.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 16 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children younger than 16 years.
- The appliance must be disconnected from its power source when not in use, during service and when replacing parts. Allow to cool before putting on or taking o parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and o by the utility.
- The surfaces of the appliance are likely to get hot during use. It is advised not to touch the surfaces of the appliance other than the handles to avoid burns.
- Never leave the appliance unattended while it is functioning.
- Do not use or store this appliance outdoors.
- Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.
- Check carefully that the voltage and frequency of the power net match the indications on the rating label of the appliance.
- The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with all local standards and requirements.
- Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug or in the event the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the DOMO Service Department or its service agent for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment. Do not try to repair the appliance yourself.

- Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
- A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. DO NOT USE WITH AN EXTENSION CORD.
- Unwrap the cord completely to prevent overheating of the cord.
- Do not let the power supply cord hang over the edge of a counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not allow the power cord supply to run underneath or around the unit.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or sink, or in a heated oven.
- Do not place near ammable materials, gases or explosives.
- Make sure the appliance is correctly assembled, then plug the cord in the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn controls to “OFF” or “0” position, then remove the plug from the wall. Never pull the cord or appliance to remove the plug from the socket.
- Failure to maintain this appliance in a clean condition could adversely aect the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation.
- During boiling, hot steam may come through the lter or any other opening. Keep hands and face at a safe distance during operation.
- Any injury or damage caused by failure to comply with these rules are at your own risk. Neither the manufacturer, importer, or the supplier may be held liable.
- Do not overll the kettle. Boiling water or other liquid may be ejected during usage.
- This appliance is operated lled at least to the minimum level and not above the maximum level marked on the appliance.
- Do not spill any liquid on the connector.
- WARNING : Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
- CAUTION : Ensure that the kettle is switched o before removing it from its stand.
- Do not move the appliance while it is still operating.

- Always pour out boiling water slowly and carefully, making sure that you do not tip the kettle too fast.
- Be careful when you ll the water kettle when the appliance is still hot.

Boil a full water kettle and pour away the water. Repeat this twice before actually using the water kettle for the rst time. USE
1. Place the water kettle on a at and stable surface.
2. Remove the water kettle from its base and open the lid by pressing the top button.
3. Fill the water kettle with the desired amount of water. Make sure that the water level is always
higher than the minimum indication (0.5 l) and lower than the maximum indication (1.7 l).
- If you have not added enough water, the water kettle will switch o before the water boils.
- If you have added too much water, the boiling water could escape through the spout. That is why you should never exceed the maximum indication when lling the kettle. Also, always make sure that the lid is properly closed before turning on the watter kettle.
4. Close the lid. Make sure that it is closed well.
5. Place the water kettle on its base.
6. Plug in the appliance.
7. Press the on/o switch at the bottom of the handle. The indicator will light up and the water kettle
will start the boiling process.
8. The water kettle will automatically switch o when the water boils. You can always stop the boiling
process yourself at any moment by pushing the on/o switch upward.
- Make sure that the on/o switch is clear of obstructions and that the lid is rmly closed. The water kettle will not switch o automatically if the switch is hindered or if the lid is still open.
9. Remove the kettle from the base and pour out the water.
- Be careful when pouring the water since it is possible to burn yourself on the boiling water or the hot steam. Do not open the lid when the water in the water kettle is hot.
10. The water kettle will not start boiling again until the switch is pressed down again. Let the appliance
cool down for 15 to 20 seconds before reopening the water kettle to boil water.
- The water kettle can remain on its base when the appliance is not being used.
- Make sure that the water kettle does not receive any power when it is not being used, so always unplug the appliance when not in use.
- If by accident you would use the kettle without water in it, the boil dry protection will automatically switch o the appliance. If this happens, let the water kettle cool down completely before lling the kettle with cold water to start the boiling process.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
- Never immerse the water kettle or the cord in water. Also make sure that they do not come into contact with moisture.
- Wipe the outside of the kettle clean with a damp cloth. Never use any chemical, abrasive or scouring cleaning products.
- Also regularly clean the removable lter. DESCALING Tap water may cause scale on the inside of the water kettle. Use a liquid descaler or a non-toxic cleaning product to remove this build-up. An alternate solution could be the following:
1. Fill the water kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and add water until the kettle is full (max. level). Let
this soak overnight. However, do not boil this liquid!
2. Afterwards, pour away the solution. Stains that remain in the spout can be removed by rubbing it
3. Fill the kettle with clean water, boil and pour away the water.
4. Repeat once more and the water kettle is again ready for use.
