Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage to the appliance:

General Notes
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this appliance to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the appliance off. Remove the plug from the socket.
- The appliance and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the appliance must not be used.
- In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Do not allow small children to play with the foil.
There is a danger of suffocation!
Special Safety Instructions for this Appliance
You will find the following symbol with warning character on the appliance:

WARNING OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, shower basins or other vessels containing water.

WARNING:
- When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
- Use the appliance for dry hair only.

WARNING:
- For additional protection, the installation of a residual current appliance (FI / RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
- Risk of burns! The appliance gets hot during operation!

Do not touch your face, the scalp, or the neck with the hot bristles!

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children must not play with the appliance. - Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they are supervised.
- Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an authorized technician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Always remove the plug from the socket after use.
- Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning it and storing it away!

CAUTION:
This appliance is not intended to be immersed in water during cleaning. Please observe the instructions that we have included for you in the chapter “Cleaning”.
Notes on Use
Use the appliance only for dry, combed hair.
Ionizing Function – Reduction of Static in Hair
The anti-static effect allows easier hair styling. The hair does not dry out, it becomes smooth and sparkling.
Electrical Connection
You can connect the appliance to an outlet with a voltage from 110 V\~ to 240 V\~.
Before Initial Use
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Check the appliance for any transport damage to prevent a hazard.
i NOTE:
- There may still be dust or production residues on the surface of the appliance. We recommend to clean the appliance as described under "Cleaning".
- When the appliance is switched on for the first time there may be a slight smell. You should therefore operate the appliance for approximately 10 minutes without smoothing your hair. Ensuring sufficient ventilation!
Commissioning
- Fully unwind the mains cable.
- Insert the plug in a duly installed socket.
- Press the button to turn the appliance on. The power control lamp lights up.
General Use
i NOTE:
The heating time is approximately 10 minutes.
- Hold one strand of hair tight.
- Hold the brush so that the bristles point away from the scalp.
- Guide the brush slowly through the strand of hair. Always begin at the base of the hair and move the appliance in the direction of the hair tip.
- Repeat the process for one strand at a time.

- Press the button ⏻. The power control lamp will go out.
- Remove the mains plug.
- Leave the appliance to cool before putting it away! Therefore place the appliance onto a heat-resistant, level surface.
Cleaning

WARNING:
- Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the socket.
- Under no circumstances should you immerse the appliance in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.

Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

Remove hair from the bristles. If necessary, use a comb.
- Clean the surface of the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.
- Wait until the appliance is completely dry before using it.
Storage
- The mains cable should only be wound up loosely. Never tie the cable tightly round the appliance, as over time this may result in the cable breaking. Check the mains cable regularly for damage.
- Hang the appliance up by the suspension eye.
• We recommend that the appliance is kept in its original packaging if you do not intend to use it for long periods. - Always store the appliance out of the reach of children, in a well-ventilated and dry place.
