Operation and Performance

Before the first use

1 Remove the scales from the packaging.
2 Remove the battery protection (see "Battery Replacement").

Operation

1 Place the scales on a hard, level surface. Do not use the appliance on carpets or any soft surfaces.
2 Press the button (3) to switch on the appliance.
Wait until the display shows.
4 Select the required weight unit (see "Weight Unit Selection").
When the weighing has been completed, press the U T (3) button and hold it for about 2 seconds to switch off the appliance.

Warning indicators

The battery must be replaced - will appear on the display. The scales will switch off automatically after several seconds.

Weight overload - the display will show .EEE Remove the item in order not to damage the scales.

Do not exceed the maximum capacity of 5000g (5 kg).

Description of functions

Weighing

Press the button (3) to switch on the appliance.
Wait until the display shows.
3 Select the required weight unit (see "Weight Unit Selection").
4 Place the items that you wish to weigh on the metal weighing platform (Do not exceed the maximum capacity of 5000 g!).

Reset (tare)

When the appliance is on, and the display shows, place a plate, bowl or another container on the scales and press the button (3) to reset the scales.

The "TARE" symbol will only be shown if the container is heavier than 600 g.

Automatic switch-off

The appliance will switch off automatically if no operation is carried out for approx. 60 seconds.

To maximize the life of batteries, it is recommended to switch off the scales when you have finished the operation.

Weight unit selection

The appliance has a weight unit selection function. To change the unit, press the Unitersion button (2) until the required unit appears on the display.

Battery replacement

You will find the battery compartment at the bottom of the scales. Open the compartment and remove battery protection before the first use.

To replace the batteries, remove the compartment lid (6) and take the used batteries out.
2 Replace the old batteries with two new CR2032 batteries. Make sure that the + / - terminals are the correct way round.
3 Close the compartment lid.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean the appliance with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse the scales in water. Do not use caustic chemical detergents.

All plastic components should be cleaned immediately if soiled with grease, spices, vinegar or food with an intensive taste/colour. A contact with sour citric fruit juices should be avoided.

Advice on disposal
