Important safety guidelines for this appliance

• Always check the appliance for any damage before using it. If the cable, the plug or the appliance shows visible damage, then it should not be used.
• Do not make any modifications or repairs to the appliance.
• Caution! The blade unit is very sharp!
• Plug the appliance only into a properly installed power socket.
• Never leave the smoothie maker un-attended and choose a location in which the appliance is safe from the reach of animals and children.
• Children should not play with the appliance.
• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use

of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

• Keep the blender out of the reach of children.
• Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
• Keep it on an appropriate surface so that it does not tip over.
• Do not keep the smoothie maker next to heat sources (e.g. electric stove).
• Unplug the power plug when the appliance is not in use or during cleaning.
• Do not move the appliance when it is being operated.
• Ensure that the power cable does not touch any hot surfaces.

- If you want to remove the plug from the socket, then pull the plug and not the cable.

- Never touch the plug with wet hands.

- Protect the appliance from fire.

- Do not immerse the cable, the plug or the entire appliance in water or any other liquids.

- It is not suitable for children. Keep the device and its power cord out of reach of children.

- If the power cable is damaged, it may not be used before it is examined by a qualified person.

3 Commissioning

Take the appliance out of the package and remove all packaging material. Clean the blender jar and the blade unit You can clean the blender jar and the blender lid in the dishwasher or in soapy water. Clean the blade unit only in soapy water. Do not use any aggressive or strong cleaning agents.

4 Safety switches

The appliance can be operated only if the blender jar is fixed in place. The jar has to be placed correctly. Only then can the appliance be operated.

5 Brief operation

The appliance is designed only for brief periods of operation. You can use the appliance continuously for about 1 minute. After this, you have to allow the motor to cool down sufficiently before reusing the blender.

6 Initial use

Open the blender jar and fill it with the desired ingredients. It is advisable to start by adding liquids. You can then add the ingredients (e.g., fruits) and finally add yoghurt or ice cream.

Now fix the blade unit onto the blender jar. Then connect the power plug of the appliance into a properly installed power socket.

Place the blender jar with the blade unit onto the base unit. Ensure that the "arrows" on the jar and base unit are at the same position. Press the blender jar slightly downwards and turn it in a clockwise direction so that the blender jar is locked in place.

As soon as you press the ON/OFF button on the front of the appliance, the smoothie maker starts to blend the desired contents. Release the button once the desired result is achieved or the brief time of operation is reached.

You can then detach the blender jar from the base unit and remove the blade unit. You can either pour the smoothie into a glass or put the lid on the blender jar and store the smoothie in the refrigerator or take it with you when out and about.

Note: The appliance is designed only for brief periods of operation. You have to allow it to cool down sufficiently after 2-3 minutes of continuous operation before you start blending again!

7 Cleaning and Maintenance

Unplug the power cord from the outlet. Clean the motor unit with a slightly dampened soft cloth. Caution! Do not clean the motor unit and the power connections with liquids. Do not use any aggressive, strong or abrasive cleaning agents.

You can clean the blender jar, the lid and the blade unit in soapy water. The blender jar and lid can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.

To clean the appliance quickly immediately after use, you can fill the blender jar up to about 60% with warm water and some dish-washing liquid and run the appliance briefly. The remove the blender jar and shake it. After this, rinse only the blender jar and the blade unit using clean water until all traces of the dish-washing liquid are removed.

Allow all parts of the appliance to dry completely.

8 Recipes for smoothies

Banana-Kiwi smoothie

1 kiwi

1 banana

orange juice

half a teaspoon of honey

Finely chop the banana and kiwi, add them to the blender jar along with the other ingredients, and prepare the smoothie.

Berry smoothie

85 g raspberries

40 g blueberries

1 teaspoon of honey

230 g natural yoghurt

Add all the ingredients to the blender jar and then prepare the smoothie.

Blueberry-Banana smoothie

150 g blueberries

1 banana

200ml milk

1 teaspoon of brown cane sugar

Pineapple-Apple-Ginger smoothie

a quarter pineapple

100 ml apple juice

1-2 slices of ginger (according to taste)

Peel the pineapple and cut it into pieces. Then cut 1-2 slices of ginger according to taste, and add all the ingredients to the blender jar.

9 Safety instructions and liability disclaimer

Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not certified for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibration as this might damage electronic components.

Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it has received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instructions. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons.

Any repair or alteration to the device not carried out by the original supplier, will invalidate the warranty or guarantee. The product may only be used by persons who have read and understood these instructions. The device specifications may change without any separate prior notice to this effect.

10 Disposal instructions
