The front and rear suspension are adjustable via several parameters: spring preload, rebound damping, compression damping (high and low speed), and cross-over adjustment. Use special tools available from a Yamaha dealer. Always adjust the left and right shock absorbers identically.

What engine oil to use and what quantity?

Use engine oil with viscosity SAE 5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40, 15W-40, 20W-40, or 20W-50, meeting API SG or higher and JASO MA standards. The quantity is 2.5 L (2.70 L with oil filter change).

Can the vehicle tow a trailer?

No, this vehicle is not designed for towing. Towing can affect handling, stability, and increase the risk of rollover. Prolonged towing can also damage the transmission.

How to clean the YXZ1000R SS?
