TODDLERS AND CHILDREN! Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging material represents a danger of suffocation. Children frequently underestimate the dangers. Please keep children away from the device at all times. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with re- duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction con- cerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Do not use the device if it is damaged. Under no circumstances should you take the device apart. Improper repairs may place the user in considerable danger. Repairs should only be carried out by specialist personnel. LED cannot be replaced. Do not put this device in water or other liquids!6 GB/IE Battery safety information DANGER TO LIFE! Batteries are not intended for children. If acci- dentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention. CAUTION! EXPLOSION HAZARD! Never recharge nonrechargeable batteries and do not short-circuit and / or open any batteries. Never throw batteries into fire or water. Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries. Risk of battery leaking In the event of a battery leak, immediately remove it from the device to prevent damage. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In the event of contact with battery acid, thoroughly flush the affected area with clean water and seek immediate medical attention. Avoid extreme conditions and temperatures which may impact batteries, e.g. radiators / direct sunlight! Remove the battery from the device if it is not going to be used for extended periods. Risk of property damage Use only the recommended battery type! When inserting the battery ensure the correct polarity! This is indicated on the battery com- partment. If necessary, clean the battery and device contacts before inserting the battery. Promptly remove drained batteries from the product. Avoid fire hazards and injury hazards CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Broken safety glass must be replaced before the lamp is used again. This lamp is suitable only for use indoors. CAUTION! FIRE HAZARD! Never expose the product to direct sunlight or other sources of light. Do not leave the product unattended. Otherwise there is a risk of fire through concentrated light rays and concentrated heat. Do not subject the device to any extreme tem- peratures or severe mechanical stress. Otherwise this may result in deformation of the product. Inserting / replacing the batteries Rotate the mirror side with 5x magnification counter clockwise and remove the cover

in- side the mirror housing and insert the batteries. Ensure the correct polarity (see Fig. A–B). Close the battery compartment cover

(see Fig. B). The mirror can be used with either the regular side or 5 x magnified mirror surface. Rotated depending on the corresponding side. Cleaning and maintenance Under no circumstances should you use liquids or detergents, as these will damage the device. The device should only be cleaned on the out- side with a soft dry cloth. Disposal The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.7 GB/IE Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product. To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority. Faulty or used batteries must be recycled in accord- ance with Directive 2006 / 66 / EC and its amend- ments. Please return the batteries and / or the device to the available collection points. Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries! Batteries may not be disposed of with the usual do- mestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries at a local collection point. Warranty The device has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before deliv- ery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below. The warranty for this device is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this device show any fault in materials or manufacture within three years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it - at our choice - free of charge to you. The warranty period begins on the date of pur- chase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty becomes void if the device has been damaged or improperly used or maintained. The warranty applies to faults in material or manu- facture.
