How to start and stop the vacuum cleaner?

Press the switch on the appliance to turn the vacuum cleaner on or off.

How to adjust the suction power?

Use the suction regulator on the hose handle. Slide it to the right to increase power, to the left to reduce it.

How to change the dust bag?

Open the cover by pressing the unlock button. Remove the full bag by pulling the tension bracket, close the bag opening and insert a new bag into the holder.

When should the HEPA filter be replaced?

The HEPA filter should be replaced approximately every 6 months, depending on usage intensity.

What to do if the fill indicator remains yellow after changing the bag?

This indicates that the HEPA filter or motor protection filter is clogged. Check and clean or replace these filters.

Can I vacuum liquids with this appliance?

No, this vacuum cleaner is designed for dry cleaning only. Never vacuum liquids.

How to clean the motor protection filter?

Remove the filter cassette, clean the motor protection filter with water and let it dry completely before reinstalling.

How to store the tube during breaks?

Insert the articulated nozzle holder into the opening at the back of the appliance. For transport, use the tube support on the base.

What to do if the cable no longer rewinds?

Check that the cable is not tangled or damaged. If the problem persists, have the rewinder replaced by a Fakir authorized professional.

Where to find spare parts?

Informations for your safety and notes on disposal

Before use

• Please read the information below with care. This gives important guidance on the safety, use and maintenance of the appliance. Keep this booklet in a safe place and, if appropriate, hand it on to the next owner.
• Fakir appliances comply with recognized technological standards and the current safety regulations for electrical appliances.
• These appliances fulfil the requirements of EU Guidelines "89/336/EEC Electromagnetic compatibility" and "73/23/EEC Low voltage guideline". The appliance is marked with the CE symbol on the rating plate.
• Fakir reserves the right to modify designs and specifications without notice.

Important information

• Do not switch on the appliance if the housing exhibits any evidence of damage, if the connecting lead is defective, or if an internal defect is suspected (e.g. if the appliance has been dropped).
• Appliance only to be connected to voltage indicated on the rating plate.
• You have acquired an appliance of exceptionally strong suction power. As fuse protection a min. 16 ampere fuse has to be used.
• Fakir will not accept any liability for damage or injury if the appliance is used other than for its intended purpose or is improperly operated or inexpertly repaired and maintained.
• Before use, check to ensure that all the filters are correctly installed. The appliance must not be used without filters.
• Use only genuine Fakir filters and accessories.
• The appropriate filters (paper filter, high efficiency submicron particulate airfilter and motor protection filter) must be installed at all times to ensure the effcient operation of the appliance.
• If the filter indicator lamp lights up, inspect all the filters and clean or replace in accordance with the Instructions for Use.
• Do not let children use electrical appliances unsupervised.
• This appliance is not suitable to be used to pick up substances constituting a health hazard.
• Repairs should be carried out by an authorized Fakir service center (see list of addresses). Incorrect repairs may the user to electrical danger.

Safety Precautions

• Do not pull out the plug from power supply socket by pulling on the connecting lead.
• Do not pull the connecting lead over sharp edges or allow it to become jammed.
• Do not use damaged extension leads.
• If required, the conpecting lead has to be replaced together with the cable rewind by a specialist.
• The supply cable has to be replaced by an autorized Fakir After-Sales-Service only.
• Before any maintenance operation or replacing a filter, and after use, switch off the appliance and pull out the mains plug.
• Keep the nozzles and ends of tubes well away from the eyes and ears.

Informations for your safety and notes on disposal

• The appliance must only be used for dry vacuum cleaning. It is not a dual-purpose (wet/dry) vacuum cleaner.
• Do not use the appliance to pick up hot or glowing substances.
• Do not use the appliance to pick up coarse slivers of glass.
• Do not use the appliance to pick up any solvents, explosive liquids or gases.
• When using the turbo suction brush resp. the electric suction brush, keep the hands clear of the rotating brush roller and take care not to run over the connecting lead.
• Do not store the appliarice in the open air.
• Do not exposure the machine to weather, humidity nor excessive heat.
• Clean the appliance only with a dry or slightly moist cloth. Do not allow any of the electrical components (switches, plug, socket, electronics, etc.) to come into contact with water.

Disposal instructions

• Please dispose of packaging materials, used filters and, eventually, the appliance itself in accordance with any official regulations or guidelines which may apply.
• f facilities are available in your locality for the recycling of packaging materials, please make use of these accordingly.
• When finally disposing of the appliance itself, please render it unserviceable before taking it to the autorized place of disposal.

Operation und use

[1] Push the telescopic tube with an easy
[2] turn on to the handle of the flexible suction hose. The telescopic tube can be adjusted to the required length.
[3] Push the swivelling floor nozzle with an easy turn on to the telescopic tube.
[4] Push the suction hose into the opening of the suction socket until it snaps in audibly. Press the release button at the side of the suction hose and pull out the suction hose.
[5] Pull out the cable to the required length.
[6] The cable is automatically rewind when you press the cable button. However, this should only be done when the plug has been removed from the wall socket.
[7] By pressing the switch button the vacuum cleaner is switched on and off. Floor nozzle settings for carpets and tiled, wood-block or similar floors:
[8] Carpets = brush bar retracted
[9] Hard floors = brush bar extended
[10] Press the release button ...
[11] ... the cover of the accessory compartment is opening automatically - and take out the necessary accessory. Then close the cover until it snaps in with an audible click.
[12] The crevice nozzle is an effective attachment for vacuuming deep slots in upholstery, skirting boards, ledges, corners etc.

[13] Pictures, window-sills, sideboard-tops, books etc. are dusted with the furniture brush.
[14] The upholstery nozzle can be used to clean curtains, upholstered furniture and narrow crevices. It features a special thread rake which picks up even minute specks of fluff and thread instantly..

[15] The filter exchange indicator analyzes the air permeability of the filter system:

Dust bag empty

= no reaction of the indicator
Dust bag full
=indicatorshows“YELLOW"

The dust bag has to be exchanged. Is the filter exchange indicator, inspite of an exchange of the dust bag, still signaling a filter exchange, the motor protection filter or the HEPA filter or the accessories are chocked up. In this case the filters have to be exchanged or the choking in the accessory has to be removed.

[16] Pull the release button to open the dust compartment.

The lid closing stop prevents operating the appliance when no dust bag is put in or the dust bag is put in incorrectly..

[17] Close the opening in the dust bag by turning down the hygiene catch, then lift up the retainer.
[18] Pull out the full dust bag at the retainer.
[19] Pull out the dust bug at the dust bag holder.
[20] Insert a new dust bag into the dust bag holder.

Operation und use

[21] Pull out the cassette with inserting motor protection filter. If required, this unit can be cleaned with water, dried and reinstalled in the cassette. Replacement as required or after the contents of a dust bag pack have been used (you will find a corresponding filter in the pack).

[22] HEPA filter (high efficiency submicron particulate air filter): replacement as required or ...

[24] Nozzle support - Short-time hold

When not in use, the entire suction tube at the back of the appliance can be stowed away by pushing the retaining bar on the floor nozzle into the aperture provided.

[25] Tube support - Deposit

Place it upright and insert the suction tube holder into the aperture in the underside of the appliance. It can be moved about with ease.

[26] Electronic suction power control

By means of the suction control the suction power can be regulated from "soft" until "strong". Turn the suction control as far to the right resp. to the left until the desired suction power is adjusted.
